Hello my liquid dnb lovers. 
This mix's track selection was an intentional experimentation of sounds. My intention was to create a mix that uplifts your spirit but tunes you into the powerful force that lives within you. I hope I accomplished that.  It is time to turn your shine UP! When I was creating this mix I was in such a primal type of groove. I was tapping into the source energy that lives inside of me. I was strengthening myself through sound. There are some bumps along the mix, but I figured thats in direct alignment with the reality of life...I hope you enjoy!

MECHANIX 2025 DNB MIX

1990 has always been drawn to the darker corners of sound, building sets around eerie atmospheres, rolling amen breaks, and jungle rhythms that echo the raw energy of the rave. Her connection to dance music goes back to childhood - falling in love with rave music as early as 1996 - and by 2006, she was deeply immersed in the Eora (Sydney AU) scene, finding a home on its dancefloors and behind the decks.

She's been dedicated to the underground in Eora for years, with appearances at events hoested by The Elements of Tech & Bass, Fatale Frequencies and Big Ting Recordings. Her sound has shaken the walls of Eora's most iconic venues including Chinese Laundry, The Burdekin, and Home The Venue, striking a chord with crowds who connect with her heavy, unfiltered energy.

Originally from Cowra and now based in Mulubinba (Newcastle, AU), she's become a familiar face in the underground, playing festivals like Dragon Dreaming, Subsonic, Rootbound, Art Valley, and Rain Dance, and supporting artists like Dillinja, Serial Killaz, Jam Thieves, Teddy Killaz, Visages, Hypho, PAV4N, Paige Julia, Leo Cap, and KOAN Sound.

As creative director of Newy Bass Crew, she pushes for inclusive spaces, platforms women in bass music, and keeps community at the heart of rave and doof culture.

With festival and radio experience behind her, she has exciting new projects in the works, continuing to grow her voice in the bass scene.
