The first non-album single of HALF BLOOD ERA.

Here's a story - recently my phone died while I was on tour (in 2025?? terrifying, I know!) and I went to a coffee shop, gave it to the woman behind the counter and just had to wait until it charged to 40%. For the first time in ages - I was forced to be alone with my thoughts for a whole 20 minutes, with no access to the constant stimulation I'm now so used to. The first time I was truly bored in possibly years. But I remembered how much I missed that silence...  entire album concepts came to me, melodies in my head, old forgotten memories of hikes and mountain views, friends I haven't been good about reaching out to in a while, replaying conversations that reshaped my way of thinking.

This song represents my frustration about the constant war for our attention these days. I remember how much 'silence' and empty space our lives used to have - how dangerous is it that doomscrolling seems to have entirely replaced it??? A society without silence - to reflect, to stop, to breathe is one that quickly loses its critical thinking skills. Now, I'm not about to argue that "SOCIAL MEDIA BAD!" I've met some of my best friends EVER on it and would not have a career without it. In fact, I'd argue Social Media is a necessary evil - ironically, I've fallen in love with content-making nearly as much as music after 2 and a half years of brute forcing it. But sometimes it does feel like the goal of these platforms is to keep us dumb and painfully overstimulated - maybe that's for a reason?

I encourage you to listen to this song (quite a stimulating one if I'm honest) with your fullest ATTENTION, and then take 3 minutes afterwards (roughly the duration of the song) to just sit in silence and see what thoughts come to you. If you're comfortable to, leave them below.
