Radio Y3K - 007

It seems a long time ago since we kicked off our mix series in the summer of 2017. An off-the-cuff raw mix recorded in Matt HDC's flat, where he mixed b2b with Ben Rothes as so many a party had shaped out.  We are now half-way to a century in the series and we knew we had to mark the milestone with an extra special guest. We couldn't think of anyone better than one of our all-time favourites, Violet.

Inês is a rare breed of DJ and producer who has no limits in dance music. Founder of Portuguese based Rádio Quântica in 2015, she since went on to start her own Naive record label which has gained wide respect with their take on twisted electronics with releases from the likes of Octo Octa, Eris Drew, Photonz, as well as her own productions.  Violet has also worked alongside labels such Dark Entries, Snuff Trax and featured on Hilltown Disco's, Angel Series.   Her live and DJ sets have seen her boss the infamous Voodoo Stage at Dekmantel Selectors, Lente Kabinet and a (pre-covid) busy touring schedule, as well as an ongoing residency on Rinse FM.

Inês is one of the sweetest people we've had the pleasure of working with at Hilltown Disco. Her work ethic and energy set the bar high for all labels, DJ's and producers. Be more like Inês!
