Astronox Festival in Texas, October 2022. A rare thing occurred - I got to play a two-hour closing set at the end of the insanely inspiring lineup of Saturday night, before a morning sound break. There are some major wiggles in this set, of the crunchy/glitchy variety, in keeping with the flow for the night. Ending with some gentle touches, like a sonic hug.

Cruising Altitude

I am super thankful to have been invited to play on the Fat Owl soundsystem in the Tangerine Steeze camp last Kiwiburn, along with all the other amazing events last summer. It felt so good to share with new people be loved and to love.

We did lose power three times during this set staying true to the burn style. The vibe in the tent was held throughout, holding the space like a wild reptile zoo, love you BEings, so this is the last chunk of the set that was captured.

Good times.

I was super under the pump leading up to this one. The opportunity came up to share some tunes at Develop-Mental AND Free Range's "Caged" party in Marrickville. Both were on the Saturday, which kept me busy not just on the day (finishing one set and jumping straight in the car to drive 2.5hrs from the bush to the city and then back again) but also kept my mind fired up in the few days leading up to the weekend while juggling work as well as thoughts around what to play.

To add to the mission, Buchy (my once very trusty Hyundai iLoad van) wouldn't start- just as I'd completely packed her and hopped in to start my weekend. 

It wasn't until Sunday that I finally made some time to sit down for a beat- a much needed breather!

This one is a bit eclectic. I was keen to play some house groovers but after 40 or so minutes I was feeling it wasn't really the set and setting for it, so switched it up a gear and went a bit all over the shop.

I LOVE opportunities to rip through a broad range of bpms. This time's 126BPM to 184BPM was good fun- and RIGHT on the dial, set length-wise!
