INTERZONE MIX SERIES 018 - BIGGY999

This set was recorded with great passion at HyperPhonix Studio, a place I deeply appreciate and have a strong friendship with. I crafted a high-energy journey with a gradual build-up, keeping the rhythm alive and the intensity rising.

Throughout the set, I explored some of the latest techno gems, featuring tracks from Chlaer - Architects of Shadows, Alarico - Sonora, Rkeat - Indol, and Rebecca Della Pienne - ExtraSenso, among others. I also showcased the power of the Argentine scene with tracks from talented producers, including exclusive selections shared by the amazing Plug-In.

Additionally, I played some of my own unreleased tracks, making this session even more special. A hypnotic, groovy, and driving experience—hope you enjoy it as much as I did! 🚀

BIGGY999 is a rising DJ and Producer from Setúbal, Portugal, making waves in the techno and hard groove scene. Kinesin is a motor protein that plays a crucial role in the transport of materials within cells. Essentially, Kinesin acts like a "molecular motor," walking along microtubules with incredible precision. It moves in a coordinated pattern, using its two "heads" to alternate in a manner similar to a dance step, where one head attaches to the microtubule while the other detaches, allowing Kinesin to advance efficiently. Powered by ATP, the molecule that stores and releases energy in the body, Kinesin transforms this chemical energy into mechanical movement, creating a continuous process of flow and transport, essential for cellular life.
Just as Kinesin transforms energy efficiently and continuously, the layers of percussion and basslines flow incessantly, keeping us immersed in a state of movement, energy, and vibration.

One afternoon, I invited two of my close friends, SUSPECT 9545 and EPHATHA, over to my place for a proper techno session — just the three of us, the decks, and our shared passion for the music.

This live set is the result of that moment. We each brought our own style and energy, blending seamlessly into one hypnotic, groovy, and powerful journey through techno. Nothing overplanned, just pure connection, raw mixing, and a love for the underground sound.

For the gear heads out there:
We used 3 XDJ-700s, 1 Allen & Heath Xone:92 MK2, and 1 Pioneer PLX-5000 for this session.
