Outline Of Your Bones

In the 11 years following the break-up, rumors circulated regarding a reunion. Though Billy Star steadfastly dismissed them, he did begin to incorporate an increasing number of Big in the City songs in the sets of his then current band Hot Wax which received limited commercial success with their first two studio albums; ‘Fire in the Galaxy of You’ and ‘Deeper in Love (Deeper into the Stars).’ 

Garry Wormhole, founding and synthesizer member of Big in the City, after taking an extended period out of the spot light since 1986, reappeared providing a supporting role in the original score of the 1992 Hollywood hit ‘Double Down.’ Double Down received rave reviews and the seminal hit from the original soundtrack titled; ‘Double Down on This’ reached no.18 on the US billboard charts, with Rolling Stone’s popular music critic Mike Mosaic likening Wormholes contribution as; “ Tender to the soul and important to the cosmos.” 

Wormhole and Star reconnected in 1994 and began tentatively working on new material. After a series of phone calls between the original members including: drummer Bruce Balcony and bassist Danny Sunshine the band moved into some low-key rehearsals, and soon to a decision to reunite. By February 1995, a full stadium tour was announced, and tickets for nearly all the initial tour dates sold out within minutes.
