Rappamelo premiere: Planes – Mind Reader (Big Mister Doom Remix)

Fremdtunes presents the second track-release of the remix-project 'REPROGRAM: A SEQUENCE OF REMIXES': 'Mind Reader' by Planes (London, UK), remixed by Big Mister Doom (Manchester, UK) with exclusively designed artwork by Superelectric (Amsterdam, NL).

Reprogram involves 16 tracks that were previously released through Fremdtunes and are remixed and published online as a string of free downloads. One by one these tracks will be shared through various platforms in a period of a few weeks. Every song will get new artwork made by a renowned graphic designer. The whole album will be available via Bandcamp on November 23rd.

OptiMace - From Lizzie With Love (Big Mister Doom Remix)

Leeds-based Ian Scott and Joe Wretham aka Big Mister Doom bring detailed, rich and deeply textured electronic music on their debut EP 'Tinderbox', out on Fremdtunes. Taking influence from genres including Minimal Techno, IDM and Leftfield Hip Hop, the two introduce the listener to their universe of music. The title-track evolves from a subtle yet flammable, groovy tune into an absolute dancefloor filler.

The two take it downtempo on the atmospheric, mellow 'Wilderness'. Pierce Warnecke flexes his muscles and chops, screws, tweaks until 'Tinderbox' sounds like it's been revisited by skillful aliens. OptiMace combines forces with guitar player Budy Mokoginta and singer-songwriter iET, making 'Wilderness' sound like an adventurous ride into the wild.

Latinum is the second track from the Big Mister Doom debut EP - a nod to our love of minimal. 

This track features a brooding blend of flowing synth melodies, pressing electronic percussion and a driving, deep groove.

Seven, the climax of the EP, starts with a melange of warped vocal samples and dense sound design which builds and drops into a frenetic combination of hard bass and wild percussion. 

The track, and the EP, conclude with a rich, delicate melodic section featuring Andrew Tutin on Clarinet.

Big Mister Doom - Eclectro Mixtape

Big Mister Doom are a Manchester-based electronic music production duo.

'Fielden Avenue EP' is their first release with CUT due out on 1st January 2016. Light, breezy spring inspired house and some more atmospheric tracks fill this release that was 2 years in the making.   

BMD started producing tracks together in 2009. After defining their detailed production style, 2010 saw the release of their self titled debut EP; a rich and dense exploration of electronic music taking influence from genres such as electronica, dub, minimal techno and left field hip hop. 

2012 saw their debut release on now regular home Fremdtunes. 'Disconnected Repeater' dropped on Fremdtunes in April 2013 featuring remixes from Huess & Planes.
