 While searching for the words to describe the sound coming out of the South East parts of Virginia, the best name that comes to mind is Big Shot a.k.a Boom-Boom Manceeni. Born Jason Whittaker 4/18/77, Big Shot was raised in Norfolk, Virginia and since the early 90’s he has been recognized as one of the most accredited rappers coming out of the VA hip-hop scene. In his youth he was blessed to connect with one of the most phenomenal platinum producer in the game today by the name of Nottz Raw. Nottz has been building his name by dominating tracks with industry vets such as; Busta Rhymes, 50 Cent, Notorious B.I.G, Dr. Dre, The Game, Kayne West feat. Lil Wayne, Ludacris, Snoop Dogg, Asher Roth, M.O.P and the list continues. Big Shot has faithfully and diligently worked with Nottz for over 10 years and became one of the most powerful players to consist of the group nationally known as DMP (Durte Muzik Prahdukshun). This group has been known on the VA, NY, DC, NC and SC hip-hop scene as Virginia's best kept secret. 

Big Shot and his VA crew has been on the forefront of a huge public emergence, receiving noticeable industry press, as well as reviews from well known publications such as F.E.D.S magazine, Billboard, The Source Magazine, Slam, XXL, and a tremendous amount of hip-hop websites, college and mix show radio stations, and many more. From his home based in Virginia to the local scenes of NYC. Shot has already made his presence felt by landing opening spots performing on the Jay-Z Hard Knock Life Tour, the Lyricist Lounge, Def Jam Vendetta Tour, How the West Was One Tour, and landing a place on the Universal Artist Showcase, Big Shot & DMP was able to perform at the SIR Studios in the area with Lyfe Jennings, Bruce Carbone, Kedar Massenburg, Kwame, and many more reputable Industry executives. Big Shot continues to produce underground hits and collaborated with many artists such as Kardinal Official, Snoop Dogg, Canibus, Skillz, and Bilal. Shot has been compared to the "charisma" of the late great Notorious B.I.G with the lyrical flow of no other because his voice is so distinct and his content can be related to by all. As well as being an artist, Big Shot is a writer who also has written and performed hooks for artist such as Canibus and The Game (One Night) from the Doctors Advocate Album.
