This playlist contains my 2023 RPM Challenge EP.  I was rather stuck on a theme this year and the initial lyrics on a few of my songs was me trying to Taylor Swift myself through the initial writing phase (only to find myself with a case of what I call „Lonely Boy“ syndrome) until I saw some of my favorite Russian and Ukranian YouTubers react to Putin‘s speech concerning the one year anniversary of the invasion of Ukraine - OOPS, special military operation. Hence, after a review of various accounts I followed over the past year detailing the atrocities and other happenings in the war, some of these songs were rewritten to describe the war from various perspectives.  Or attempting to do so, anyway. 

I am just going to be honest here, I was not up to recording anything for this challenge this year, so I just kept my piano backing when I initially wrote them for the FAWM challenge and did some remastering. Also, note the sloppy phrasing on the rewrites.  Sorry…:( 

I am happy with the songs, however, so I will be working on them and reuploading them over the next few months.  At some point in the summer they should be good enough to invade your favorite streaming app via Distrokid.

I say this every year, but whatever.

I wondered what would happen when it rained, or when the wind grew stronger. When I prodded it the corner section seemed stable, though I was in no way convinced it would stand up to the rigours of winter. It wasn’t dangerous to anyone; all there was outside was a small strip of overgrown garden, though I did think it might offer burglars an easy option.

I am a singer/songwriter with a small but growing audience. Most of my music is done using samples, loops and beats.  Occasionally, I play guitar. While I do identify as an electronic artist, I also do jazz, country, rock, pop, and some times all of the above.  As well as dance.
