A BIG Track i did a few years back with Lady P. It actually started as something she sang over a Martin Villeneuve track about 6 years ago. This is a pretty POP yet Retro synthy track. Lots of fun. I love the breakdown towards the end... Definitely soundtrack material!

This is a remix of a track from his only released album circa 2001. Generally unknown in the music world, with a Rap Style unlike any other, Slick J was responsible for helping his Vancouver crew work with artists like Ice-T, B-Legit, Mac Mall, Nate Dogg & Kurupt & The Luniz. He had a vision to make a strong statement in the rap game showing that anything is possible and to always follow your dreams. Unfortunately he was taken from us just before the "Let's Do This" Record Label and Studio launched. 

I am proud to say he came to me with this dream and I had the privilege of creating his music as well as working and performing with the artists we hand picked between 1999 until the time of his passing in 2001. 

I'll be posting more remixes throughout the year and some previously unreleased material.

Slick J - Ask No Questions (BIGSTUFF Remix)

I did this track for the unveiling of the new O-Train in Ottawa. It was introduced by the city's Mayor, Jim Watson and will be used for Future campaigns leading up to the finished product in 2018. It's actually pretty exciting being a part of Ottawa History!

The Future

This track is a classic performed by a band I put together with some friends in Vancouver Circa 1998 - 2002. We were successful locally and know for our outlandish live shows. Also voted in the Best of Shaw local Cable in 2001 alongside Maroon 5.  

This song was recorded live off the floor in 1 take at AI in Burnaby with the 8 piece band... unfortunately missing our Sax player Sassy James...  in the year 2000. 

The song is about babies being kidnapped to be raised as super soldiers. Fortunately some of the babies escaped and became the band know as Mr. Bigstuff & The Bigstuff Production. This song is our revenge.

Many of you, my friends, have never heard much of my music as  it was underground and before the technology to showcase this online was possible. Now it is my time to show you how the Bigstuff production did this!

The year was 2003 and the UK's Ignition had dropped a few hot singles. Of course after being asked to remix 2 songs (that were not released) I felt now, 12 yrs later, would be a great time to share this with all of you.

Ignition - Daddy's Girl (BIGSTUFF Remix 2003)

The year was 2004 and I had just finished producing Vancouver Rap Legend PDS akla The PMan's solo release "The Blinding Dark". 

For this track we took a verse done by well known West Coast rapper and Dogg Pound Member Kurupt in 2000 when he was brought to Vancouver with Nate Dogg to record at our studio for a song with Slick J. Slick J unfortunately did not live to see that song or his album released. 

In addition to Kurupt's work on this, The PMan brought in Scarborough Legend Bishop Brigante and Incredible VanCity Vocalist Narai Dawn.

I met this guy from an ad I posted in the Vancouver Sun in 2002. 

We became great friends. 

Working with this guy in the studio was an incredible experience. We focused our time and dedicated over 2 years to develop his sound. This project really taught me how to mix music and record multiple vocal layers while creating amazing harmonies.

12 songs were recorded and mixed but none have ever really been released. I'll be posting them on this page throughout April and May for you to enjoy!

In the Year 2000 in Vancouver, our band came 3rd at a Radio Station battle of the bands out of 50 bands. Our prize was  studio time so we figured why not record this song at a location other than our own. The result? You tell me?

"Get Honest" is a track produced by BIGSTUFF and Phono Jones back in early 2008. The reason it's just being posted now is because of one of our friends, Sassy James, who plays Sax on the track recently passed away. The song also features Jay Dosdal on Trumpet, Ray Haramboure on guitar and an unknown bassist.... The vocal is none other than the lovely Lady P. I started BIGSTUFF Productions years back as an outlet to develop my career in the music business. I have worked with a multitude of artists, spanning genres from Hip-Hop to Rock, Electronic and Country. My music has been featured in film & television, i have toured as an entertainer, singer, rapper, producer, DJ and have recieved a Juno nomination and been a Juno judge. I recently took a step back from production to focus on nightclub promotions, artist management as well as work with children teaching DJ workshops. 
During the last few years i have also become a licensed real estate sales representative and had some time to focus on family. I have now come full circle and working where my heart lies... Music...The production, recording and publishing of music. This Soundcloud page will be dedicated to music that has been produced, co-produced, written, and performed by myself or the other amazing human bodies that i work with.
