The third podcast of our summer series has been taken care of by the upcoming Amsterdam based talent Levzon. With various releases on Instinkt Lab, Hemisferio Records and BCCO Berlin, to name a few, Levzon is working hard to leave his footprint within the scene. 

For Frenzy Levzon created a one-hour mix in which he freely uses old school tracks and vinyl combined with some newer records that contain the same type of energy: “With this mix between new and old skool techno I tried to show you my love for that specific sound and combine it with some newer tracks.” Enjoy the mix!

This month, we have 0megavybe, from Berlin giving us an hour of unique selections ranging from house to electro breaks to uk garage. 

Breakin' boundaries and pushin' limits isn't just about beats for 0megavybe. As part of a FLINTA* collective (Layers Collective), she's also focuses on challenging hetero male dominance in the club
scene and giving visibility to underrepresented groups in the music scene. 

In her words: "recently, i haven’t been enjoying really hard and fast music—it makes me kinda nervous. at the moment bassline house creates the most soothing atmosphere for me. when i listen to it, i feel confident. i love the rolling basslines of progressive house; they just make my body wanna move without being too hectic. to have a variation in the rhythm, i like to mix it with some tribal sound, breaks, or some fun uk garage moments as you can listen to in the mix. i get bored pretty easily, so I like bringing tracks in as soon as possible without clashing and letting them play together for as long as it works out to create something new. also, i love jumping in tracks—praise the digital interface. my fav moments are those low bassline dub moments blending into something high-energy. this way, the uplifting one hits way harder than if you’re playing high-energy the whole time—just gives me everything."

hannya is a Warsaw-based DJ. Her sets are dynamic and filled with an euphoric energy. She reaches for hardgroove, eurotrance and hard house, but also brings a touch of 80s mystery to the dirty sounds of the 90s. Despite her short club tenure, her ability to build a unique atmosphere on the dancefloor is attracting increasing attention - both from the public and the music community. She performs regularly in leading clubs in the capital and the country and had the opportunity to share the stage with artists such as Malugi, Perel, Kettama or LB aka LABAT.  She is a resident of the WiREFRAME series of events, which characterised by their eclectic nature, creates the contemporary fabric of Warsaw’s club scene. 
hannya is currently working on her first EP which plans to release in 2025.

In hannya's words: "This mix is a celebration of the house music that defined my year — blending timeless classics with fresh tracks from across house and its subgenres. It’s a journey through the beats that kept me moving, carefully curated to bring an uplifting and energetic vibe. Here is the 15th edition of the PW Invites series featuring a good friend of mine whom I met here in Madrid, although Madrid is his hometown CESTEK is currently based in Berlin. CESTEK is another fellow artist driven by music and is therefore another perfect candidate for the PW Invite series. Keep an eye out for this one, his productions which he's keeping pretty exclusive to are quality too!

Our latest entry to the Four Four Local Selection welcomes Cork-based DJ Tara Casey to the series. With Tara playing a significant role in the shaping of Cork's growing dance music scene through her contribution to the Electronic Music Council, we are pleased to have her feature as this week's Local Selection as she showcases her bouncy and energetic selections for the next hour.

This week's entry to the Local Selection features Tara Casey as she shares a selection of released and unreleased music from a range of Irish producers. The rapid-rising DJ possesses an eclectic taste in electronic music, with a particular affinity towards old-school sounds that include hard house, trance and techno. Her sets tend to lean into funky, nostalgic territory while maintaining a high level of energy throughout.

Tara's buzzy approach to mixing has seen her support a range of artists in a short span of time. Some of which include Skin On Skin, Fish56Octagon, Hannah Laing, X-Club, Le Boom and KIMMIC while playing a host of parties that also include Index, Shine and Slither. Not to mention recently getting announced for her debut festival later this year at Emerge. It's clear to see that Tara is building great momentum at the moment and rightly so. Episode number #60 belongs to https://soundcloud.com/garakajmiksuje - the middle of the party is a place where he feels best. Continously for 12 years he’s been looking for it mixing cocktails for his guests as a bartender. Starting in Łódź, on the way through Milano, settling in his beloved Warsaw.

4 years ago there has come an idea to jump behind the decks from the bar and it was just a great f*****n’ idea.

House music has a special place in his soul and it was the genre that he started his mixing with. Right now what he plays most is packed with energy and hip hop vibe groovy techno, with a little bit of trance and wild, speeded up tribal sounds. Very likely to be played during one set time, cause he doesn’t like to get bored and creates his playlist according to the vibe, not specific sounds. 

A lot of smile, even more energy, spiced with a pinch of ADHD is a mix pourin from the dj booth, which defines the style of his mix.

Fresh, energetic, not for lazy ones.
