I initially heard the demo and felt a strong connection to the lyrics and wanted to create and develop a world that matched the emotional integrity of them. It was one of the first songs i finished from the EP and paved the direction for how the rest of the project would sound like 🌲

Wake Up Call

All 2 U features @saraskinner and is the third track off the EP. This was a song that went through a lot of changes - it was initially recorded for a half time kind of vibe and had a completely different style of production. I tried to flip it on its head and create a soundscape that was a little different from anything i’ve done. At the last minute, i recruited @brentonrulesto lay down the guitar work you hear in the track. that was the final touch the song needed ⚡️

Atypical (feat. GiGi)

1993 is the intro track off my EP. The idea behind the song came from my initial love of dance music. I was in the 1st grade when I heard Daft Punk’s ‘One More Time’ playing on MTV for the first time and instantly fell in love. To this day it’s still a song I can play over and over, and 1993 is an homage to dance music and what I felt when I first heard it. oh and ya 1993 was the year i was born.

I Dreamt We Spoke Again

I Dreamt We Spoke Again (Louis the Child Remix)

We recently had an amazing opportunity to spend two weeks traveling through the Norwegian countryside during the beginnings of subarctic summer. This EP was written both during our journey through the fjords, and upon our return home, reflecting on the landscapes we saw and the people we met.

“Rock Spot” came into existence during the three days we spent in Aurland, Norway. It was written on a small cliff overlooking the Sognefjord and completed after we returned home. The album cover for "Eternal Sunlight" was taken at rock spot.
