Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’ve no doubt heard of Adelaide’s hottest new duo V O E. From winning NCS’s Track & Build Competition in December 2020 to now, Tom and Caroline have been truly unstoppable, releasing on Liquicity, Blackout, RAM, NCS, and more before signing exclusively to Viper. Since signing, the duo have released a slew of huge singles, starting with “We Go On” on the Annual 2021, followed by “Call On You” with Madface & Symplex, “Take What You Want” which was picked up by UKF, as well as “Fight You”, “Enemies”, and “Come This Far” as early tastes of their Chemical EP.  

Now, continuing to move from strength to strength, V O E are ending the year on a high note with their highly anticipated debut EP. Featuring 5 killer tracks, V O E deliver the perfect first taste of their distinctive sound, wrapped up in a single package, perfect for both new fans to discover and existing ones to cherish.  

The title track of the EP, “Chemical”, opens with Caroline’s enthralling vocals taking the spotlight, an elegant number that slowly builds into a truly explosive dancefloor drop. Charming with a destructive edge, “Chemical” is the perfect first dose of the V O E sound and a strong indication of what to expect from the rest of the EP.  

Alongside the brand new title track, the EP also features previously released singles “Fight You”, “Enemies”, “Take What You Want”, and “Come This Far”, all of which have been met with critical acclaim every step of the way and perfectly encompass every facet of the V O E sound.  

A truly formidable duo, V O E’s debut EP far exceeds already high expectations. Together with their live performances which feature DJing, live vocals, masterful crowd control, and keytar, Tom and Caroline’s unique backgrounds have made for an ultimate superstar combo. Longtime friend of Viper, Spanish producer Juno has appeared on some of the label’s biggest compilations, including “Raptor” on Summer Slammers 2017, “Red Blocks” on Annual 2018, and the critically acclaimed single “Akira” and “Truth in the Skies” featuring Innate MC. Known for his clean & frenzied neurofunk, Juno has long been held in high esteem by both DJ peers and tastemakers, and we’re excited to present his most recent single with “Lilith” and “Surrender”.

The first of the two tracks is “Lilith”, aptly named for its enticing opening and foreboding undertones. Chaotic but clean, Juno demonstrates impressive mastery of both sound design and arrangement. While the vocals present in the introduction carry a certain charm and grace, don’t be fooled as Juno quickly tears the track apart leading up into a drop that is as sinister as it is berserk.


The flipside of the single, “Surrender”, paints a much more ominous picture, dark yet vivid for a cinematic result. Moments of grandeur stand opposed to the more traditionally hectic sounds of neurofunk for a truly unforgettable result, fusing together sci-fi themes with a gothic/horror twist.

Dark and twisted in all the best ways, both “Lilith” and “Surrender” serve as a welcome reminder of the diversity at the core of Viper’s ethos, celebrating all facets of the genre and continuing to push a platform for artists from all over the world to share their sounds. A welcome addition to the Viper catalogue, Juno’s latest offering is monstrous and not one to be missed!

Dance music icon Netsky has taken the drum & bass scene by storm since the announcement of his highly anticipated return to Hospital Records for his fourth studio album. ‘Second Nature’ represents Netsky’s everlasting love for his D&B roots that has sent shockwaves throughout the dance community. His journey comes full circle as his brand new record marks the 10 year anniversary since his self-titled Hospital debut, with collaborations on the 18-track long-player from Sub Focus, Becky Hill, Rudimental, Hybrid Minds, and Urbandawn to name a few. ‘Second Nature’ is teed up to be a remarkable and seminal release for drum & bass lovers around the world.

Bringing his classic liquid sound into 2020 alongside New Zealand based prodigy Montell2099 who has worked with the likes of Diplo, 21 Savage, Lil Wayne and Mr. Carmack, future bass meets Netsky’s signature soulful groove on ‘Mixed Emotions’, paying tribute to New Zealand and the love and support he has received there over the past decade of his career as an artist and DJ.

Multi Brit-Award winning drum & bass powerhouse Rudimental and their official vocalist Afronaut Zu jump into the picture for ‘Blend’, which sees groove filled vocals rolled out alongside a slick bassline, vibrant trumpets, Netsky’s feel-good melodies, and Rudimental’s signature uplifting style.

Covering the Deniece Williams classic, ‘Free’ is reminiscent of Netsky’s love for funk & soul, introduced by his father from a young age, that can also be felt in ‘I Choose You’ (a cover of Willie Hutch’s ‘I Choose You) and ‘Everybody Loves The Sunshine’ (feat. Chantal Kashala & Daddy Waku)’ (covering Roy Ayers’ ‘Everybody Loves The Sunshine’). ‘Free’ takes you back to the original sounds of Netsky with a trademark liquid bassline and unforgettable brass topline, as sincere vocals and old school breakbeats tie the track together into a nostalgic number infused with the sounds of today.

‘Look At Me Go’ features breakbeat and UK hardcore champion Darren Styles. This four to the floor slammer with its thumping kick drum and catchy vocal sample has already received support from the likes of Sub Focus and Dimension. Coming together with Hospital’s very own Urbandawn, ‘Power’ sees the epic collision of two heavyweights as halftime drums and a slapping double bass kick start the jam, followed by the takeover of sweltering synths and sonically searing drums.

‘Destiny’ is a high voltage dancefloor anthem as Netsky joins forces with fellow drum & bass stalwart Sub Focus with Jozzy on the vocals. Big room synths inject energising vibrations on this electrifying cut which truly is a collaboration of legends. Plus, soulful pianos are paired with the unifying vocals of Becky Hill as she throws back to her second nature, and graces her first drum & bass track for several years on the heartfelt banger ‘Hold On’.
