Gezender’s fourth EP, presents 4 sound pieces: Starting with “Cuerpo”, a track without vocals focused on movement. Followed by “Corpo Fechado”, with the participation of Linn da Quebrada, is the densest of the work. The following tracks, "War" and "Ambient War", feature Bruno Mendonça and bring a more intimate and contemplative atmosphere. Corpo can be thought of as the first step to other actions and experiments.
The philosophical concept of Atopy is linked to the idea of absurdity. Later on, it gained new meanings as notions of “non-place”, “unclassifiable” or “unnameable”. The term points to a quality of experience that would be precisely in the difficulty of answers, on the problematic of mythological and romantic projections and also in the failure of objectification. And it is this universe that the artist and music producer Gezender presents in his new work, the Corpo EP, released on May 14 by MambaREC.

Featuring Linn da Quebrada and Bruno Mendonça, Gezender takes a chance of bringing together different artists who, each in their own way, have worked on the unraveling of language in their productions. In the musical field, Linn relates this to issues of race, gender, and class. Bruno Mendonça has been proposing this in the scope of contemporary literature and art, addressing themes such as pink money and viruses.

“Corpo is an EP that was born during this pandemic period, where I had the chance to look more at myself and understand the body as a whole, its own rhythm, needs, hormones, pleasures, and fragilities. There is a mixture of feelings very characteristic of the moment we are going through, sometimes contemplative, sometimes full of conflicts. I tried to extract the beauty of these antagonistic emotions, without forgetting the dystopian feeling that permeates the present, between peace and anguish, but with some breath that makes me someone on the path to healing and comprehension" explains Gezender.

NTGMX:

In October 2023, Carlos do Complexo released NTGM. Nine months later, its deluxe version is born: NTGMX.

In this new project, CDC references Clubber music; we are introduced to energetic, pulsating tracks that contrast with the first part of the album, which is filled with a more sensual sound atmosphere (“Fórmula” with Mia Badgyal and Urias, “SXO” with LARINHX and Ebony, and “Puesto Pa” with LOLE) as well as emotional tracks (“Sextos Sentidos” with Bebé and “dame y dale” with Charm Mone).

NTGMX extends and expands on his previous work with ten additional tracks, five of which are new and feature names such as Clementaum, IDLIBRA, kontronatura, and Podeserdesligado, and five remixed tracks, compiled into an EP.

After diving into Latin rhythms, wrapped in Afro-Surrealist symbolism, CDC expands his original work in various other directions in the EP NO TENGAS MIEDO! REMiXES!

From the Afrobeats of "PÂNICO!" in collaboration with JLZ, to the pulsating vibe of Funk Carioca in "Sextos Sentidos" with the duo Menor do Engenho and Marlon do Engenho, each track immerses the listener in a unique and particular journey.

In the Club music scene, the remix of "DURO" with BADSISTA, known worldwide, proposes a striking beat contrasted with synthesizer solos, while LAZA brings the pulse of Tribal and Latin Club rhythms in "Fórmula," a production ready for the dance floor.

Finally, the Irmãs de Pau crown us with their own version of SXO, the most successful single from the last album, adding even hotter, more engaging lyrics that celebrate diversity and creativity.

The NTGMX project reflects Carlos do Complexo's desire to cross boundaries and explore new musical territories.

TIK-TOQ feat. kontronatura

PISTON é o EP de estreia de Victin, nome artístico de Victor Almeida, com data de lançamento no dia 07/06/24. Contendo três tracks enérgicas, sedutoras e carregadas de urgência, o produtor inaugura sua discografia sintetizando passado com futuro, o local com o global e o pessoal com o coletivo.
O convite se estabelece em Dubbixa: música para bailar de culo para cima, bajando terreno ("cu para cima, descendo até o chão"). Um transe de graves pulsantes e percussões encharcadas em reverb serve de base para as vozes processadas de Victin, aliados ao bumbo reto e os hi hats detalhados que ancoram a melodia. A música, dedicada a las bibas e las travestis, celebra com humor e vivacidade uma pista quente ocupada por corpas dissidentes que constroem espaços igualitários. Alegria e suor se misturam com a magia melódica das linhas sutis de sintetizadores de Dubbixa, que evocam tanto um sound system jamaicano quanto um ballroom latino.
	A transição quase imperceptível para a próxima faixa faz persistir a sensação de pista, com um breve respiro ocupado por um solo de trompete antes da próxima batida. Mas Sinfonia das Clubbers, a segunda música e ponto alto do EP, não dá muito descanso e logo nos coloca de volta na pista de dança com um kick agressivo que nos guia até o ritmo sincopado e caliente de uma guaracha futurista. O trompete, um dos vários instrumentos de sopro tocados por Victin desde sua adolescência estudando em conservatórios, é a tradução material do elo que conecta sua presente produção: não só um mergulho em seu passado musical, mas um amadurecimento do mesmo na música eletrônica. PISTON, aproveitando o sufixo hispanizante, é o apelido metonímico do trompete, devido a seus três pistões. Com a Sinfonia das Clubbers, é impossível não sentir o desejo de mexer o corpo nesse aumentativo latino da pista de dança.
Na terceira faixa, Pintawn, o trompete processado também serve de ponto de partida para ataques pontuais de baixo e bumbo em uma dinâmica angular de pergunta-e-resposta. Aos poucos envolta em uma nuvem de claps, cordas e notas longas, a track é acelerada ao mesmo tempo que esconde em seus vários detalhes uma ambiência contemplativa e orgânica. Inspirada por My Power de Beyoncé, Victin impulsiona a instrumentação e bpm para captar a urgência da mensagem de empoderamento da diva sem precisar contar com palavras, finalizando o EP com muito luxo, glamour e poder.
Buscando em sua trajetória musical combustível para composições embebidas em frescor, o produtor atualiza seu lado instrumentista no contexto da música eletrônica brasileira, cena em que Victin é figura-chave já há alguns anos, seja como produtor, DJ, integrante da equipe da MAMBA NEGRA, ou como a cabeça por trás da BICUDA, coletivo e label LGBTQIA+ sediado em campinas que conta com 16 lançamentos, 3 coletâneas e uma infinidade de festas nos últimos 6 anos. 
O EP PISTON, um relâmpago criativo e dançante, é o primeiro registro solo assinado por Victin, se incorporando a suas outras inúmeras empreitadas na música eletrônica underground, e o começo de uma nova fase para o artista, que fará sua primeira turnê europeia em Julho de 2024.
