Hey Bill! This is some really nice,tasty, and sweet sounding playing on your part, as well as the tone from your guitars! (And I emphasize the fact these are you guitar creations!) I wish I could give this a like on S.C! For now... you got this posted as private on S.C. (perhaps that's the way you want to keep it), but this is certainly worthy of having all interested to hear! We've all had this experience... You just want to get home after a long hard day at work.  But you know how the rush hour gets... You try your best to start your journey off smoothly, but as expected the traffic is just nuts.  Crazy drivers, accidents, road blocks, detours, the damn malfunctioning GPS... it's all just too much stress!  
But, finally relief is just around one more corner.  Sweet, sweet home is in sight! 
That's what comes to my mind as I listen to this track.  Perhaps you can relate?

DEEP BLUE (Audric Jankauskas-2017)

30 years ago in the theater of the macabre.

Pretty sure there's 7 guitar parts. When we were sampling the screams the studio manager burst into the control room thinking we were producing porn or actually torturing someone LOL, "No lady... calm down and take my money!"

Some of what I was doing in the late 80's / early 90's. As dense as this arrangement is it's easy to see why I went broke trying to produce myself. I went back to remix everything the original 2" reels had disintegrated. I was able to get 2 of the original master tapes baked at Ocean Way in LA and fortunately we got one pass of 2 of the songs, the rest of the project was lost. 

Ryan Castle at Sunset Sound was kind enough to help salvage and mix this at Sunset Sound in Studio 2 probably in 1999. Thank goodness for his help or this would have been lost forever along with the rest of the project.

Thought due to the title and where we find ourselves at this time seemed appropriate. Did a quick take before work this am. best ciggy voice i could muster at 7 am. Quick vocals and Piano track. Flew in Lennon's track towards the end as well.

ISOLATION

I'm calling this GarageBand Meandering #1, aka, what I was doing when I should have been doing something else. There may or may never be a GarageBand Meandering #2. As Jeff Beck already defined the guitar version of this Stevie Wonder song, "Cause We've Ended As Lovers", I'll just say it's a rethinking of or homage to a classic. And while I'd like to say these were live takes of improvisations, I'll own up to a large bit of retaking and editing. Maybe I'll get there one day but for now, at least, the journey continues. All guitar tracks were done on a Comins GCS-1 and GCS-16-2. I also used a Frankenstein P bass. Everything else, GarageBand.

EMERGENCE - Not your everyday tune!
For those that follow my work as a musician, please read my following notes. 
I would greatly appreciate your interest in my story regarding this particular musical work… an unusual track titled “EMERGENCE”.  
I am happy to share this to the world, and hoping you give it a good listen. But, my hope is you read my story beforehand.

It’s been almost 2 years since I had the ability to do anything like this project. I’ll explain more about this “temporary disability” of mine further along in my story.

As it turns out, at this point in time, the meaning or representation regarding the title (Emergence) can be thought of in more than one way.  Each of them, all seem to fit this composition appropriately. 

Initially, when I conceived of this unusual musical concept, I quickly realized that the musical arrangement evoked in my imagination the process of the natural world emerging out of dormancy into the Spring season. 
This is why, from the very beginning stages of developing this track, I decided on the title “Emergence”.
Listening to this composition, it becomes apparent there are THREE MAIN SECTIONS, which for me signify the natural process of life emerging in the spring. 

The FIRST SECTION is the AWAKENING… 
the initial, and almost always hidden, life forces stirring up. 

The SECOND SECTION is the STIMULUS… 
the longer days of life supporting sunlight, warmth, and rain. 

The THIRD SECTION is the BLOOMING… 
the period of vigorous and powerful growth, 
which also is the springtime we enjoy so much in all it’s glory.

I hope all that listen to my track will pick up on these features!

Regarding my “temporary disability” > As of this month May 2020, it’s been almost exactly one and a 1/2 years since I suffered from a nasty ACCIDENT (while woodworking using a joiner machine on Nov. 6, 2018), in which I severely cut up the ends of my second and third fingers on my left hand. This event stopped me from simply touching my guitar (let alone really playing it) for 5 months. In my entire life playing guitar, I have never in all that time spent more than 2 weeks away from my guitar. So, this accident was quite devastating. 
It took almost another 1/2 year just to get back in a condition where I felt comfortable to simply jam with some of my close friends.  I was extremely lucky to not have my two fingers entirely cut off from this accident.  I am grateful that currently I rarely notice any discomfort from the wounds, which to this day are still in the healing process.  So for me, the release of this track, also represents my very own EMERGENCE!  I’m hoping this will mark the beginning of a more musically productive time for me.

AND FINALLY, with the worldwide pandemic taking on a considerable toll regarding so many aspects of our lives these days, I can’t help but think of the meaning of the word EMERGENCE in the context of looking into the near future as the entire world eases back to a state of normalcy (we can only hope).  But also, just perhaps, the world may come out of this whole thing with a better understanding, and greater appreciation, for the things that are really important and meaningful in life. The EMERGENCE of great enlightenment!

I used to enjoy performing this fast paced "blues" tune by John Coltrane while gigging with jazz oriented groups.  This is my interpretation of the relatively unknown MR. DAY.  Other than playing my guitar, everything else was sequenced using Digital Performer 8, EZ Drummer, Trllian Bass, and Ivory Piano.
