This song is dedicated to my father: William T Covert 1935-2005

I wrote this song in September of 2005 about a month after my father passed away during surgery. I woke up alone in my apartment from a dream in tears with this song. I usually go to the piano or grab a guitar when I'm writing, but this time I just grabbed my lap top and typed... Within 15 minutes I was finished, crying my eyes out. I made a few small changes over the last 10 years, but what you hear is pretty much what came to me that night.
