This track I made on a 10 hour flight. My battery would only last about 3 hours and I wanted to finish the track in that time. Due to my school and work, I didn't have any time to make music, and this was my first occasion in a long time. Probably because of this everything came together really quick. When it was done, we were flying over Goose Bay in Canada and this is how the name came by.
        I used Ableton Live, Future Music samples, and NI's Massive and FM8. I know all of these very well so I was able to make the most out of the three hours I had. Normally I produce tracks that aren't as melodic as this, but hat day was very emotional for me, and it showed. It's a one off for me, and I love it!

This track was made way back in 2005. This was my first track I wasn't ashamed of playing in clubs. It worked and still does. The crowd loves it. I still play his track almost every time.
          I don't really remember how I made it. I lost the original file, so I can't check/change anything about it. The only thing I remember is that I was listening to Richie Hawtin's DE9 Transitions at that time, and you can really hear this through the track.

This was the first track I made after reading the Bounce & Groove article in Future Music, and this is my interpretation of it. I don't know if this interpretation is right, I don't know if it really bounces and grooves, but I know it works. Made with Ableton Live, Powercore X8, and a Waldorf Blofeld.
    I never really know what I want a track to sound like when I start something new, but after a little while it sounded like something that could have come out on Rotterdam's EC Records a few years ago. This was really nostalgic to me.

When Bill Desman - better known as Sean Billingy - saw Carl Cox working the crowd at the first edition of Impluz in the Netherlands, he knew he wanted to be able to do the same. He bought his first turntables at the age of 16 and started spinning techno. 

When Richie Hawtin’s Closer came out, Bill Desman couldn’t believe his ears. The sound was so minimal, and yet groovy and danceable. He slowly started moving away from the ‘normal’ techno and embraced the new minimal techno.

In this time Bill Desman had become part of 078 Productions, an organization which wanted to help talented artists in the local area have a chance to play outside of their bedrooms. 078 Productions began to grow, as did Bill Desmans techniques. Through the years his style has been leaning more towards the party floor. Still staying true to the minimal techno, but adding some housey funk. “It’s all about the bassline” he says. This change has made him a DJ who could warm up a crowd, as well as end the party with a bang. He has proven this in many occasions (Rotterdam Dance Parade, 3FM, Progressive City, Electrify).

078 Productions also has a local radio show on Drechtstad FM called Dynamix. Bill Desman hosts the show once a month and has been doing this for more than 3 years now. He has recieved guests in the like of Laidback Luke, Benny Rodrigues, Kabale und Liebe, Lauhaus, Marco Remus and many more. Broadcasted on-air and on-line, this show has a huge following!

Bill Desman has also been producing his own tracks, and the quality of the tracks has been rising slowly. His tracks are made for the dance floor, made to make people jump and scream. Just ask the crowd at the venues he’s played at. Two of his latest tracks have been discovered by the Rotterdam based label TEAM Records. These tracks will be released in the summer of 2009, so be sure to keep an eye out for him.
