For its milestone 50th release, Silk Royal label manager Jacob Henry has teamed up with internationally acclaimed label fixture Shingo Nakamura on "Words Unspoken". Jacob introduced the track earlier this year on his own Silk Royal Showcase 03 compilation, albeit in mixed form. Shingo, meanwhile, continues to assault the Beatport progressive house and trance charts with his intricate, melodic, and often club-oriented compositions. American producer-DJ extraordinaire Zack Roth and Slovakian veteran Peter Illias are also along for the ride, and their visionary remixes deserve equal recognition.

The Original Mix begins with a furious rhythm section and a trance-influenced bassline, which centers the track in pure peak-hour territory. A delicate arp and repeating piano motif combine with rich pads for full midrange support. Suddenly, at the quarter turn, we are met by the main vocal theme, an evocative tribal chant. The "words" are mysterious, but the unspoken message seems to be conveyed nonetheless. In the main break, a deeply emotive string theme is introduced, which combines with the vocal themes to enhance the emotionally resonant, African-inspired soundscape.

Zack Roth, the celebrated American producer & DJ, continues to achieve great acclaim not only for his peak-hour sets at major NYC venues, but also for boundary-pushing productions; more specifically, his recent work has received radio support by Above & Beyond, Paul Oakenfold, and more. His interpretation begins with a buoyant groove, soon followed by evocative pads and a dancing arpeggio. The track takes off at the quarter turn, as the main bassline explodes through the mix, while various melodic layers rest delicately above. The deep, peak-hour progressive trance sound is reminiscent of the "vintage" era of the genre, which Zack is known to evoke in his live sets. The emotional atmosphere continues to crescendo, reaching a triumphant climax in the main break, followed by a killer drop.

Peter Illias, whose last single on Silk Royal, "Let Me Be", was supported on radio by Above & Beyond and many more, returns to our imprint with an energetic and richly emotive take. From the very beginning, Peter augments the evocative African influences in the song; he adds additional tribal vox effects, as well as a haunting pad progression. Meanwhile, a punchy, yet deep bassline groove adds plenty of power to the rhythm section. The most memorable moment in the track is perhaps the second of two extended breaks, in which Peter treats us to a variety of new vocal effects, which coalesce brilliantly with the moody and primitive atmosphere.

Versatile Russian producer and label resident Gregory Esayan is ready with a brand new EP called "One Way Ticket", including three outstanding progressive cuts. The title track, "One Way Ticket", starts off with a truly hypnotizing atmosphere, including a vast array of lush synth elements. Smooth percussion elements, as well as delightful chord changes follow shortly thereafter. An inspiring breakbeat emerges mid-track, beautifully accompanied by mesmerizing piano lines and pad layers.

Next in line, "Forever Child" includes a strong beat, intriguing vocal stems, and soothing background synth elements. In context to the song title, the theme melody tells a beautiful story, which is enhanced by the memorable vocal elements and synth structures.

Showing apparent inspiration from Spanish traditional music, "Ararat" includes a truly interesting guitar riff, as well as an energetic arpeggio line. The break includes smooth synth effects and a lush presentation of the main guitar melody.

This next release on Colorize gives way to producer Solid Stone, who delivers two cool slices of progressive in the form of a two track EP.

As 'Missing' encompasses a heavy club kick and mysterious trancey pads in the breakdown - the track unleashes a huge square lead before building back up to a deep rolling drop. 'Back To Life' on the other hand, offers up tonnes of dance floor groove with light-hearted melodic arrangements, which creates two very different styles on this release.

An outstanding showcase of studio talent from Solid Stone on Colorize.

'Like The Sunrise' is another one out of the bucket of great tracks that were on Ad Brown's debut artist album 'Something For The Pain'. On this trancer he collaborates with fellow DJ Steve Kaetzel and songstress Arielle Maren. It's a big release package. Zoo Brazil, Pedro Del Mar & Hoyaa and Terry Da Libra, are all flown in for the remixing. Also included is an extended mix and a dub mix.

Ad Brown is known as a leading light in the British dance music scene, described by DJ Mag as the 'go-to-man' for that progressive enriched trance sound. He has been handpicked to support some of the biggest names in the dance industry such as Calvin Harris and v. Besides the UK, Ad has been touring in India, Indonesia, Russia and all of mainland Europe, smashing the dance floors with his unique sound. In 2013 he released his very first artist album 'Something For The Pain' an ensemble of killer tracks and great collaborations.
Steve Kaetzel went from being a sound designer for video games and short films, to a well-known name in the electronic music industry. He got his first taste of EDM in a local club, and it instantly got him hooked making him move from Kentucky to Seattle to pursue his new-found love. He then signed his first EP on Black Hole Recordings' Songbird label. After that many releases, collaborations and remixes followed for artists such as Zoo Brazil and Moonbeam.
Arielle Maren definitely made a name for herself in the world of EDM with her emotional and touching vocals. She has collaborated with Cardinal, Ørjan Nilsen, Dimension and Estiva, gaining a lot of success and support. New material is in the making, so be sure to follow Arielle!

Zack Roth is making a return to the Colorize imprint following his Togo remix earlier in 2012. Zack is hereby presenting one of his strongest productions to date. The Original is an uplifting and bursting of energy but with a slightly funky and progressive bassline.

The Russian duo, Atlantis Ocean, have pulled off a rougher production this time compared to their earlier work - get ready for a gritty and clubby bassline, and pure melodic goodness.

Robert Nickson is back again on Colorize with his RNX guise. He goes all deep with this mix; beautiful and lush pads, and a breakdown to die for!

Fantastic display of diversity on this release and a great first release on Colorize by Zack Roth!

Nueva Deep is proud to present the inaugural trip of its journey on its newly established imprint, under the umbrella of the Nueva family. We kick off with this cracking release "Sonar" with the title track coming from dynamic UK (Newcastle upon Tyne) based DJ and producer Che Armstrong and also featuring upcoming Romanian producer Stereopole. Also featured are outstanding remixes from young French hotshot Matt Fax, and promising Argentinian producer, David Calo.

The original track from Che Armstrong and Stereopole displays a delightful minimal feel, peppered with atmospheric stabs and lightly arped synths, complemented by perfectly placed sporadic vocal samples. Let yourself drift along with the cool ambient vibes of this beautiful track.

The Matt Fax take on this track opens with inviting beats, and develops with gorgeous echoey ambient synths. A really solid bassline threatens to take over the moment, only to gently bring you back to beautiful comforting synth sounds. Shifting arps are used to great effect to embellish this delightful take on the track.

Last but by no means least, David Calo takes the track on a different path, creating a huge ambient cloud of deep synths and pads. Cool deep stabs and delicious plucks contribute to the beautiful ambience of this deeply satisfying remix.

Arrival's first release of 2013 is "The Way We Were", featuring American artist eleven.five. He last appeared on Silk with his remix of "Heiligenstadt" by Mango and Embliss, as well as the memorable "Crispy" from Silk Royal Showcase 02. This release also features a remix from Toby Hedges - one of the winners of the remix competition of Schodt feat. Aida Fenhel's "Wild At Heart" on Silk Royal. With regular radio support by the likes of Armin van Buuren and Above & Beyond, eleven.five and Toby Hedges have been hailed as two of the most exciting "new" talents in today's modern progressive and trance scence.

The original mix quickly establishes a firm beat with lush percussion elements, as delicate melodies soon emerge. Sweeping sound effects and outstanding synth work combine beautifully, while the bassline underneath keeps the energy in place. The gorgeous theme synth emerges periodically throughout the track, and is developed fully within the break. The ingenious and memorable melody evolves into a mesmerizing main synth line, enhancing the energy greatly. As a bonus, eleven.five also includes an intro mix of "The Way We Were". Here, the lush, sidechained pad lines from the original, combined with parts of the theme melody and supporting layers, form a blissful intro.

Toby Hedges from the UK gives us a unique interpretation of "The Way We Were". A firm beat is quickly established, as well as brilliant background synth elements. The theme from the original slowly emerges, surrounded by a vast array of hypnotic melodies. The break features outstanding new melodies, which lead up to the main theme beautifully. The track continues in an incredibly energetic style, resulting in a definite dancefloor killer.

The Way We Were

eleven.five - The Way We Were (Original Mix) [Arrival]

Having released on Otographic Music in 2012 and shown a solid talent of an oncoming generation of Japanese artists, Masanori Yasuda's deep and progressive stuff "Kalos Eidos" sees three new remixes and the additional chillout mix reconstructed by Masanori himself.

Following his gentle and textured productions which has been leading the deep aspect on the Otographic style, KIWAMU's remix is constructed with bottom-weighted grooves and dusky pads.

Kazusa Remix is centered on re-harmonized basslines and particles of subtle synths. These elements provide transparent ambiences and slow-burning grooves to the dancefloor.

As shown in his previous releases on Otographic and Proton, Kyohei Akagawa's remix is filled with sophisticated gimmicks and shuffled synths. The sparkling plucks drive freely on magnificent soundscapes.

Masanori Yasuda's Chillout Mix is the perfect relaxer for concluding the package. Fluent breakbeats, deep pads and the piano take you to the space of beauty.
