One hell of a wild night - DJ's Jan-Michael and Echo went hard, so I could only go slow to start, driving into Esa's AMAZING "Blast", then housey territory, dubstep and some ridiculous drum and bass. Such a lovely crowd, and a fantastic team holding the space and keeping things safe for our wonderful dancers. The Noisia and Skrillex tracks were insane highlights for me, Camo & Krooked - Loa too - but it was so wonderful to wind things down with Bicep - Meli (II), Burial and Philip Glass. Thanks again to all the team and everyone who came - what a joy.

Ecstatic Dance UK "Play" Special - October 20th 2024 featuring Guppy on sound healing

I got heavily into my Celtic roots for this set - it's a deep, dark, and playful dance journey. Also includes Afrohouse, Middle Eastern, Melodic Techno, PsyTrance! Facilitation included for home practice. At this time of year, legend has it that the veil between the worlds is thinnest - a liminal state, the borders blur. So I started with the theme of honouring our absent dear ones, then getting into the playful spirit of the Aos Shi - the Fair Folk of Celtic legend, as the tempo ramped up. Featuring live songs from me and Dee, and a performance on the Taus from Avtar Singh. Hope you enjoy 🙏

Full Moon Shadow Dance, Ecstatic Dance UK, 12th Feb 2025

This was a unique event - a meditation and somatic ecstatic dance powered by the beautiful, psychedelic music of Jon Hopkins. It was such a pleasure for me and Felix to dig in and explore Hopkins' discography, crafting over two hours of music. We went from deep relaxation and a guided meditation through to incredible peaks. Thank you to Felix for trusting me on this one and creating the space for this to take place at OMUK - an incredible venue in central London with an acoustically treated room and superb sound system. Jon Hopkins Ecstatic Dance with FX10K, Temenos, Feb 2025.

It never ceases to amaze me, the power of this practice. A small crowd, most of who had never been to a dance before, and it shifted so much. Charged and changed the whole atmosphere, created a community from a room full of strangers. The set is mostly pretty easy going with plenty of my favorites from the past couple of years, including a remix or two of my own.

Shadow Rave, Ecstatic Dance Brighton, 7th March 2025

This was a deep one for me - intense, powerful, cathartic - but also fun! I’m honoured that so many people have reached out with their thoughts and feelings on the event. That some said it’s reminded them that the dance can be a PRACTICE and not just a social event is really high praise. It’s amazing also to hear about the emotional releases and renewed energy and lightness as a result. It’s not all been positive though, and I’m taking those comments on board - I aim to make more space for softness and the ‘lyrical’ form (in 5 Rhythms language) for next time.

The set was an experiment in creating deep waves - going heavy into 'stacatto' and 'chaos' type phases*, then dipping down into the ocean of softness before climbing up high again. I mapped this one out in detail and it went REALLY well for some people, but not so much for others. I'll be working on building smoother waves and more space for gentle vibes in my next set.
