Jungle Was Massive (Phase I) - Mono Single

Daydreams from across the years, at various spots on (or close to) the Flemish coast. Almost a faded postcard, rather than a song, I supposed. This is a short piece, based around "as close to an harmonium" synth sound as I had, with a glockenspiel and BassStation bass, plus a drum-loop I came up with. The vocals have been treated with quite a lot of bitcrusher too.

Electronic Producer/ Performer ‘Amongst The Pigeons’ is back with a brand new single ‘The Monsters Are Hiding In Plain Sight’.

Sussex based Amongst The Pigeons has teamed up with singer-songwriter and poet Alice Hale (With Sun) on this spoken-word electronica track, taken from the forthcoming EP ‘Why Does It Matter If We Hear Each Other’.

The two met when they played on the same bill at a gig in Summer 2021. After the gig, Daniel asked Alice if she’d like to collaborate – this track is the result. 

It features Amongst The Pigeons trademark beats, bass and synth soundscapes, overlayed with Alice’s spoken voice.

The new EP also features Helefonix, Helen Whale from Lines of Flight and Dirt Lane Cocktail Party.

The single is out on 15 July 2022 on all digital/ streaming platforms via Peace & Feathers. The full EP follows on 29 July 2022.

Bill Fever’s 3rd EP ‘III Weights’ will be self-released via CDBaby and Bandcamp on the 16th of December 2022. The 5-track EP was created in May 2022 as part of an Album Writing Club run by Brighton-based indie record label Lights & Lines. The challenge was to write and record an album or EP within the space of a month. In July it was announced that the EP had won the Album Writing Club’s Judge’s Choice Award. The EP was written around the time of Mental Health Awareness week - Bill tackles the subject matters of anxiety, fear, depression, imposter syndrome and addiction.

LA PRIEST - What Moves (Grand Lion Remix)

Having relocated from London to Kettering, his ambitions to form a new band in 2020 were thwarted by the pandemic. Deciding to carry on writing solo, he self-produced and recorded his debut 4-Track EP “Money Goes To Bloody Money” in Northamptonshire. Bill sings and plays all instruments except drums, bringing in the remote rhythms of talented drummer Joe Montague.

His debut EP “Money Goes To Bloody Money” was self-released on the 14th of May 2021. 

The title song opened the BBC Radio 6 Music’s Introducing Mixtape and host Tom Robinson described it as “an amazing track” picking it as his tip of the week for local BBC Introducing shows. It was also included in the ‘Best of 2021’ show on BBC Radio Northampton’s Introducing Show with Kerrie Cosh.

Bill’s 2nd EP was released in August 2022 - the 6-track EP picks up from where his debut release ‘Money Goes To Bloody Money’ left off, exploring political themes such as dishonesty in the UK House of Commons, the NHS under threat and life in lockdown.

Originally from London, Bill grew up on his parent’s diet of Capital Gold, Julio Iglesias and Michael Bolton. Perhaps more of an influence on Bill as a musician were the covert raids on his older brother’s record collection - where he would discover the likes of Radiohead, Nirvana, Queens of The Stone Age, Jeff Buckley and The Smashing Pumpkins.

After learning to play bass guitar in his teens, Bill played in bands at University and on his return to London after graduating. His time gigging, songwriting and providing backing vocals helped him to find his voice and set him on the path to going solo.
