Taken from his forthcoming 'Mabel' EP, out 4 August, 'First Mark', exclusive to i-D, is yet another reminder why Bedford's Lil Silva aka TJ Carter is one of the most exciting voices in British music today. The former Macabre Unit member has been busy creating haunting R&B bangers for the likes of Banks and Sampha, but it's great to see him back doing his solo thing. 'First Mark' is an extraordinary 4 minutes and 13 seconds of outlandish aural brilliance. Watch out for the duttiest of dutty basslines to explode around 58 seconds in, before being joined by what sounds like kids banging cutlery on the school dinner tables and a haunting choral riff. Top marks all round.&#13;

Existence is a concept album that takes its listener on a journey into the wonders of the human experience. Luohivuori's music combines progressive music with ambient electronic and powerful drumming. 

Existence is a genuine solo record. Louhivuori plays all intruments, produces and has composed all the music. Known as a fantastic jazz drummer, Louhivuori goes on a musically different path on this album. Existence is sonically crisp and flows in auditive time and space with a sharp focus on the possibilities of modern studio technology. The heart of the album, however, is not studio trickery but the emotional power of its compositions.

The signing of Alice Boman was kind of a coincidence. Adrian Recordings just had an intense spring with a lot of releases and had no plans on signing anything new. Then a local sound engineer from “Studio Möllan” gave us a record with Alice which he thought we should listen to. We did and time just stopped.

The first EP from Alice is called “Skisser” (means “Sketches” in Swedish) because that is exactly what it is. It was released in May 2013. The EP contains songs which Alice recorded in her home, just for her to remember and they were never meant to be heard by anyone, Alice sings with as much force as fragility, a Billie Holiday for the 21st century, without the jazz.
