Genghis Cohn arrives on Are You Before, coaxing us through the looking glass and into a mystifying world of twisted folk and pastoral collage. Serenading us through forested hills, like a pied piper prancing into the twilight through aisles of drumming lunatics, his guitar lures us baffled, curious, and ultimately seduced. Songs for the campfire, sung by the village fiend.

Heap keeps one foot loosely settled inside the brain-curdling pits of his earlier releases on the likes of ANA, Kashual Plastik and Low Company, and places another foot forward, one step further into the sounds of weirdo folk and song. Ascending out of the swamps, and onto rich pastures.

The first episode was released in 2012 as a debut Muscut record named so and intended to become a label trial, a test of the audience to check whether the world needs one more label with the following episodes in 2018 (Test Pressing II) and 2020 (Test Pressing III).

Idk if i really should keep making music. No one has told me my music is good other than my friends and my family. and they have at least some sort of stigma towards it. 

My plays are botted, i didn't ask for that, it just happened. And i hate it, it makes it seem like I'm a faker and i wont deserve anything that i have made. 

I know I'm not even that good. which I'm being honest about. I don't wanna think about it but I know it's true. A girl stopped talking to me which i planned on meeting her that night. I made that cover day after that. I wanna kill myself a lot too but hahah I'm not gonna get into that.

I'm still debating on even making music. A lot of people just tell me "make beats get rid of rapping". It's true, I'm a better beat maker than rapper. But i really can't help what I wanna make.

If you do listen to this, which most doubtly is no, pls know this may be the last thing i make. and idk if its even good
