Blue Wave Fantasies

⁣Frinda di Lanco & Hendrik Stein from Berlin are pushing airwaves together since 2018. A DJ duo with a deep love for obscure vinyl records and a wild and vibrant mixture ranging from AOR, cosmic, italo, library and disco that never fails to surprise us with the unexpected. Together the couple is spreading joy on dance floors all over Europe. With 'Avec Plaisir' the two founded their own label imprint and re-released an enchanting collection of Austrian Cosmic tracks from the ’90s. We hope you enjoy this wonderful selection as much as we do.


Frinda & Hendrik on their mix : “After listening to the recording from lovely RIAA Bar in September, we decided to go for exactly the same vibe – since that night was special in many ways. It only happened because our gig at Pudel got cancelled due to a double-booking but we had our train tickets already. So instead of bringing a selection of Italian Disco and dance music to Hamburg, we focussed on those records which we usually play to close friends in a home-listening context and that have a certain place in our hearts. At this night we also met Andrea who was enjoying our selection a lot and asked us if we’d like to record this mix you’re just about to listen.“ 💫

This month we welcome Ada from our hometown Hamburg to our mix series. Ada already captured our hearts over 20 years ago with her house anthems on Areal Records. Since then she released an album and a single on Pampa. 

Pingipung's very own Andi Otto is part of the Alien Orchestra that supports Ada during her recent shows. You can catch them live on the 12th October in the Elbphilharmonie, Hamburg. Ada and Andi also DJ together on the 6th July at Jupiter, also in Hamburg.

Music producer and collector Billy Caso has spent the last 12 years in Berlin building his path as an eclectic and open-genre artist through fields of electronica, psychedelic jazz, hip hop, modular synths and collage style mixes & beat-tapes.

Billy founded Pastiche, a new hi-fi listening venue, record shop and café in Berlin in early 2024. Billy has performed tours worldwide, hosted various shows on NTS Radio, Worldwide FM, Dublab and Rinse FM. Also known for his two cult-followed mix series 'The Barefoot Adventures' and 'Home Comforts'. Through his explorative blend of genre-mashing productions, mind-bending collage-style sets, beat-tapes and musical features with the likes of Miguel Atwood Ferguson, Brandon Coleman, Fly Anakin and Nailah Hunter to name a few. After a four year wait, Billy's long awaited debut album ‘Planet Earth’ is complete and will be released soon.
