Salvador Perea Villar, better known by his alias Retter is a Hypnotic Techno DJ and producer based in Berlin. The @tecnicakollektiv co-founder is responsible for the next mix on the series and delivers an unceasingly intense hour of vinyl-only heavy grooves. 

Born and raised in Colombia, he has a diverse background and knowledge of music due to his family's roots in drums and guitar.

His groovy-old school way of Djing is inspired by artists like Jeff Mills, Oscar Mulero, Adriana López, Speedy J, among others.

Es un joven DJ nacido en A Coruña, apasionado del groovy destaca en sus sets por sus ritmos rápidos y oscuros que te harán sudar y conectar con su estilo.

Sus primeros pasos empezarían en el 2017 apareciendo en raves y pequeños clubs de la ciudad, haciéndose un nombre entre todos los amantes de la música más underground. 

Hoy en día ya ha pasado por distintos locales de la escena gallega como TN.Club, además de ser un habitual en el Cazuza.

Starting her journey in the gritty streets of Baltimore, Maedon's experiences have led her through the urban soundscapes of Brooklyn and ultimately to the techno capital of the world, Berlin. Her sound is a reflection of her life's journey, absorbing the influences of the industrial scene and transforming them into her own unique and mystical creations.

Intermediate már régóta közismert alakja a hazai és nemzetközi underground techno szcénának, jelenleg kiadóján (Polynom Division) dolgozik, amely kizárólag technó fókuszú VA-val startol a nem is olyan távoli jövőben.

Born and raised in the industrial metropolis called Ruhrgebiet in West Germany, Parallx grew up in a family of musicians.When young Parallx performed minor drum and samba acts at a small festival in the middle of Germany at the age of eight, his rhythmic obsession caught a hold of him fueling his drive for musical composition till present day. After completing Primary School he found his new home in Berlin where he was heavily influenced by the techno, house and art scene. During his Interface-Design studies, he completed a course called “musical interfaces”, designed and built his own MIDI controller called „Sound Radar”, and continued to integrate his style into the world of music production. 

Parallx is constantly in pursuit of selfexpression, regardless of whether its music or visual art. Equipped with enormous energy and willpower, he is always hunting for new inspirations and new ways to improve his music.

This mix has been made with a “collage” type of work in mind, using small bits from a lot of different tracks to make an entirely new one. This is already something I have been experimenting with when I DJ but I wanted to take things a bit further with a more precise and surgical approach which a studio mix allows for. To achieve that, I've reworked and edited 99% of the songs I used, it took ages but was a very interesting and rewarding process that basically enabled me to make whole new edits of my all time favorite tracks.

While the term „binär“ (engl.: binary) always had a clear meaning in itself, there are nuances depending on how it is applied.

In short, it stands for duality. Anything that’s binär can be broken down into two parts. One element is followed by the other. Our digital world is founded on Binärcodes, the predecessors to our computers, smartphones et cetera ran on 0s and 1s.

Applied to music, most of electronic music is binär. It builds up slowly, one element is followed by the next, a hi-hat comes, a synth is replaced with quietness, which is followed by bass.

And while this formula works for most of the spectrum, it’s not limited to one genre in particular. The label called BINÄR is founded on this idea of terminology.

Yet, in society, it stands for the idea of binary genders - male and female - this might be the most popular definition of the word binär. We believe there’s more to it, and as the Binärsystem works, it could also emphasise the cultural shift we’re currently in - ideas of society get updated by something new, something broader, something more welcoming, open, non-binär.
