The Art of Decoder turns out not just astounding, but converting the intelligible, such as a coded message, into a dimensional expression form, worthy of a young prodigy. 

Beginning with a fantasy selection, overmatching the probability of adding up by chance striking tracks we love from ever. 
A phenomenal sci-fi outcome fitting his pseudonym, arrangements under encrypted sequence actions, alternating from suggestive groovy techniques to methodical deep landscapes, yielding a meaningful sound, succulent for wishful dancers.

Def.// The Result of the conjunction of the prefix «Co», which means repetition,  with the word «Incidence» which gives the notion used to mention events that happen more times in a row. // Or by entities involved with continuous ideas were united in an unforeseen period of time.

While like attract like, when our brains make connections across space and time, we can emerge situations matching desires that paradoxically come together. Defined as synchronicities, signs without strict cause and effect, but rather by fortuity coincidence, directed by a relative attraction's force. A theory to bring the paranormal within the bounds of intelligibility leads one to think these facts carry hidden messages and underlying meaning.

Whereas some situations in our lives are just random coincidences, synchronicities are considered signs in the direction of our good, as magical aid.

How to decode true synchronicities? Experts explain intuition as the great tool to realize it, a throbbing defiant inner voice that implies "listening with the whole body".

Decoder is a Dallas based music producer and DJ specializing in the realm of sci-fi & deep techno. His music is often filled with ambitious soundscapes, rolling sequences, and off kilter sound design.

Early in March 2021, Decoder saw his first release "The Futurist" come to life on the Italian label "Antiterra".
Following the EP came a consistent schedule of releases, including releases on labels such as Bomphcast, Srie Records, and his own imprint Codec Recordings.
The year also saw the release of his first album, "Monolithic Activity Spectrum" on the Spanish label "Subsist". Decoder ended the year with his second album release "Dark Shape", which was put out on Jeff Mills' legendary imprint "Axis".

The first half of 2022 showed no signs of slowing down, as Decoder's "Moro Safa EP" was released on Amsterdam based label "Float Records". It also saw the third full length album titled "Plurality Module" released on Subsist. The latter half of the year saw his first 12" vinyl release "Singularity 2" released  on Dallas native label "Science Cult", as well as his follow up release on Float Records titled "Kanavugal".

These releases have also garnered Decoder support from many artists including the likes of Richie Hawtin, Jeff Mills, Ben Sims, Jeroen Search, TWR72, Yanamaste, to name a few. 

Decoder's touring schedule has also seen notable moments, including shows played for Infra (Boston), BCCO (Berlin), Cialo (Poland), Neighbourhood (London), among others.

You may be familiar with the work of Reeko, the Pole Group co-founder and Spanish auteur whose furious techno has expanded the definitions of his genre and piqued clubfloors over the last decade; Juan Rico’s alias has galvanised the world of electronic music like few can. Over the course of his active years he’s worked on a parallel body of work under the pseudonym Architectural, at first in the shadows of anonymity, now coming into the light. Through this second epithet he channels a more fluid sound, one that uses much of the same percussive scaffolding but goes deeper. The project began back in 2010 with a string of releases on his self-titled and newly pressed label and the 2012 release of Peacetime on Semantica Records, cementing his rise as a deft and mysterious talent from the Asturian coast. The intrigue continued with a fusing of his two projects in 2013, a Reeko and Architectural release on his native Pole Group entitled The Blue Album, a dialogue between the two visions, harsh kicks of the first fused with the trailing reverb of the latter. The next two years saw a pair of releases develop the sound he’d built via his own label and Dutch imprint Wolfskull. In tandem, his sets at Tresor, Printworks, Robert Johnson, Bassiani, Awakenings and his local festival LEV have brought his heavy atmospherics to a wider audience. His sound is primal, dubby and immersive, the output of many years of sonic research and collaboration, paced-out and rich with intelligent details. Here, for one of the most important mixes in this long running series, comes Bassiani Podcast 252, a truly singular piece recorded back in November from this paragon of experimental techno.

When it comes to post-Basic Channel dub techno, Brendon Moeller is one of the go-to guys.  Since leaving his native South Africa for New York City in 1993, the dub technician has been proudly laying down his musical legacy on labels like Astralwerks, Mule Musiq and Six Degrees Records; working with revered vocalists like Paul St. Hilaire, Mikey Dread and Mutabaruka and fomenting relationships with scene institutions like Fabric, Berghain and Francois K.

Since then, the dub landscape has been for ever changing at his hands: sometimes under his own name, sometimes as Beat Pharmacy (almost exclusively on Francois K’s Wave Music) and sometimes as Echologist, he is behind seven full length albums to-date, each of which has breached the musical boundaries of what went before. Taking cues from jazz, techno, dub, afrobeat and psychedelia, Moeller’s aims are simple.

Listen to his music – or that which his label, Steadfast, has so studiously released since 2009 – and you’ll understand that Moeller’s music has a knack for making you think whilst you inescapably give yourself over to its infectious grooves, and his most recent Ecologist album only confirms that: Subterranean is a deeply experimental record that explores a throbbing, swollen underworld of subconscious sounds which, in its conceptual referencing of everything from shoze-gaze to ambient to rock, marks Moeller out as an essential pillar of not only the dub techno community, but of the electronic music world as a whole.

True to their deep, widescreen approach to both production and live-performing, Parisian outfit Atomic Moog clock in with a helluva sleek and lushly relief’d mix, recorded on the occasion of their latest live performance at Outre Bleu on March 29. Through their releases for the likes of Delsin, Appian, Lowless or Monument, the French duo has been carving a niche for itself at the fringes of the dubbed-out techno tradition and abstract-leaning experimentality. This 90 minutes jaunt into their reverb and delay-heavy imaginarium has us moving across narrow corridors and cathedral-large spaces by turn, exploring the concept of spatialization in dance music under a new, boundary-pushing light. Through focal-shifting jumps between acid-drenched beds of rippling analogue sine waves and sizzling machine circuitry, the constant angle shifts from macro to micro tell a tale of vibrant sound research, not quite picking a side between the dance floor’s sense of purpose and genre-unbound, creative unintentionality.

This next guest is part of a new generation of talent coming from Japan and slowly taking over the world. Cutting her teeth on the dancefloors of Tokyo, imus is a significant and perennial player on her local scene. She’s played at Keep Hush, contributed mixes to NTS Radio and delivered her mentally challenging techno to audiences at DJ Nobu’s Future Terror parties. At the end of 2023, she also launched eulb, an event series sitting at the ‘intersection of machine, band and dance that focuses on the aesthetic aspects of electronic and spiritual sounds’. Inspired by techno, bass and all things experimental, her work pulls heavily from her context at the centre of the Japanese sound, but pushes it further and develops something unique to her own experience. Her sets are large format trips into the strange realms of her mind-altering frequencies, sonorous and full-bodied ripples and beats that explore the fringes of dance music in all of its forms. Brutal Chase

While the term „binär“ (engl.: binary) always had a clear meaning in itself, there are nuances depending on how it is applied.

In short, it stands for duality. Anything that’s binär can be broken down into two parts. One element is followed by the other. Our digital world is founded on Binärcodes, the predecessors to our computers, smartphones et cetera ran on 0s and 1s.

Applied to music, most of electronic music is binär. It builds up slowly, one element is followed by the next, a hi-hat comes, a synth is replaced with quietness, which is followed by bass.

And while this formula works for most of the spectrum, it’s not limited to one genre in particular. The label called BINÄR is founded on this idea of terminology.

Yet, in society, it stands for the idea of binary genders - male and female - this might be the most popular definition of the word binär. We believe there’s more to it, and as the Binärsystem works, it could also emphasise the cultural shift we’re currently in - ideas of society get updated by something new, something broader, something more welcoming, open, non-binär.
