Artificial Dance founder Interstellar Funk releases Live At The Rest Is Noise - Muziekgebouw aan 't IJ. Limited to 150 cassettes, the recording documents Interstellar Funk’s performance at Amsterdam’s Muziekgebouw concert hall in October 2021.


The 45-minute set ebbs and pulses, leaving behind Interstellar Funk’s penchant for hard-wearing club sounds in favour of melody and texture. Some passages mirror elements from the studio album Into The Echo (Dekmantel, 2022), but the live setting allows Interstellar Funk to expand and explore richly detailed sonic spaces that highlight his skills as a composer-performer.

The Lithuanian began his musical journey back in 2008, which led him to establish the currently longest house music series running in the country “Tarp Dvieju Ausru” which has established itself as a pillar for bringing groove and such artists as: Cromby, Spencer Parker, Sedef Adasi, Shanti Celeste, Peach, Cinthie, Leon Vynehall, Moxie, and many more. This led to a well-renowned party residency at “Lizdas” club in Kaunas.

Sharing the decks with iconic artists like that guided Mountak to London and Berlin where he played prolifically in such clubs as Prince Charles, Watergate,Wilde Renate, Klunkerkranich, Farbfenseher, About Blank, and many more

Combining House, Italo, and Techy, Breakbeat sounds, Matas stands for everlasting long dancing hours till dawn breaks

Gonzalo Villarreal is back for his 3rd appearance on the Mood Series. After his previous two EP's, we couldn't be happier to hear what he's been up to and get some new output from him. 'Trascendalia' offers 4 pieces of strong techno that ebb and flow while perfectly balance catchy, addictive yet distinctive and dancefloor directed. 'Dhammacor Ascendance' is a techy dub gem. The broken almost electro beat really shines inside these chords that ride and build. 'Synaptic Alchemy (V1)' unique chord work is something to behold. If you are after dub techno that rises but also changes directions, then check out this piece. V2 of this track offers a bit more streamlined version while still really honing in on the hook of the track. Either way, both version are epic! 'Zenithian Awakening' is a wonderful way to close this EP out. A beautiful and soothing ride, this is a fine example of the future of the genre through Gonzalo's eye. To close these masterful pieces with this amazing ending really ties the EP for long replays and plenty of listening time. One thing Greyscale looks for pushing the boundaries is a different color and timber to the evolution of the style. This isn't your ordinary dub techno. Check this out!
