Iron Curtis has been quietly crafting house music for many years, so it's fitting he is the first man to drop a full-length on West Yorkshire's finest label, Hudd Traxx. He shows his full range here, and while there are concessions to the full-length format, such as an immersive ambient opener steeped in cosmic radiance, there are also plenty of effective club cuts high on personality. The minimal kinetics of 'Dial Me In' is a standout, while 'Tensione' is dubby and elastic house and 'Dance Inc' slides into soft and dusty bliss for intimate backrooms.

Hudd Traxx makes label history with its first-ever full-length album, Dial Me In, from long-time affiliate Iron Curtis. Aptly, if it wasn’t going to be label boss Eddie Leader, Curtis is the natural choice — having contributed more tracks across more releases than any other artist in the label’s history. Across ten tracks, he delivers a journey that moves between deep house, ambient textures, and eclectic grooves, flowing effortlessly from club-ready jams to home listening moments. The warm Speak to Me Baby (Ambient Mix) opens proceedings before the synthy, Berlin-tinged 1Up {premiered here} sets an understated groove. Roxy and the title track Dial Me In bring rich chords and deep house warmth, while lead single Troubles delivers a hypnotic, low-slung sway. 

Tensione strips things back with bass-heavy, breakbeat energy, and Bodycode rides a beautifully deep house pulse. The final stretch expands the palette with the floaty Dance Inc., the rolling Signal Signal, and closing cut Slipstream, tying the journey together in style. A landmark LP for Hudd Traxx — diverse, soulful, and built for both the dancefloor and beyond.

In a book about the Japanese tea ceremony, the author explains:

‘Great attention should be given to a tea gathering, which we can speak of as "one time, one meeting" (ichi-go, ichi-e). Even though the host and guests may see each other often socially, one day's gathering can never be repeated exactly. Viewed this way, the meeting is indeed a once-in-a-lifetime occasion.’

It is very similar with DJing. Each time it is different and distinctive. I was so happy to have this ‘once-in-a-lifetime occasion’ on Saturday at the Moon stage of Draaimolen Festival 2025. It was a wonderful opportunity to share a lot of music full of meaning and memories. My sincere thanks to all those who joined and made this gathering possible.
