I listened to this again after a long time today. And was totally mesmerized. Did not remember listening before. I can feel all of it in my heart now. Would want to sing this once!

Mat Kar Maaya Ko Ahankaar - Kabir Song from Malwa, Madhya Pradesh

Vaari jaun re, the totally peppy Rajasthani/Kutchi/Malvi guru vandana folk song caught Vedanth and my attention first in The Rajasthan Kabir Yatra when Mooralamarwada made it our anthem.But when the real love happened was when we heard Mahesha Ram sing. With a lilt which spread in front me the entire desert, camels walking, caravans moving, the works. And everytime I hear or sing the powerful, humbling, joyous and beautiful imagery of my guru standing at my doorstep/courtyard gives me goosebumps. Here is a recording of singing in the great eastern mill, mumbai. Still working on the pronunciation.
