Curiosity Remixes

Curiosity - (Henry Fong Remix)

The first mix focuses on some all-time classic piano and vocal tracks from the late 80’s and early 90’s - starting off as it means to go along with massive tracks from Candi Staton and Kariya.

They come thick and fast as undisputed back-to-back classics weave in and out of the set from the likes of Orange Lemon, Chanelle, Ten City and Brand New Heavies to name but a few.

We then start the ‘throw-your-hands-in-the-air’ piano section of the set with one of the all-time Italian house piano classics, It’s A Moment In Time closely followed by huge grin-inducers from the likes of Unity, FPI Project and K-Klass. The Def Club Remix of Dreamlover adds a touch of class before the wonderful Jam The Dance by Asmo rounds off this section of the mix.

Things then go a bit ‘white label’ as we drop a couple of rare ones in the form of Colonel Abrahams and the amazing DMC remix of Tell Me Why before the unmistakable and uplifting Love Is the Message and 2 For Joy’s In A State add to the fun.

It keeps on going with one cracker after another as the set heads home, culminating with a sneaky trick using the Pamela Fernandez acapella over the 80’s classic Fascinated, before Zoe wraps things up with one of those sit-on-the-stage-and-wish-you-could-do-it-all-again tracks.

Every avid raver knows the feeling of dancing all night, lost in a reverie of music until the sky brightens and the first fragile fingers of light illuminate the sky. Witnessing the birth of a new day is a cathartic, enchanting experience indeed—one that Plastik Funk has managed to capture perfectly in their new single “Sunrise.” The versatile German duo heard a sampling of Katt Rose’s bewitching vocals and knew they had to produce a track for them. The result is undoubtedly blissful; ‘Sunrise” opens with dramatic, orchestra-like instrumentals that lead into a melodic break that perfectly complements Rose’s vocals. Proving their dynamic talents in yet another instance, Plastik Funk produced two versions of “Sunrise,” the Club and Extended mixes, to suit every listening ambiance. The club mix pairs down the vocals and plays up a groovy, trumpet-infused bassline for ample dance floor potential, while the extended version is reminiscent of progressive trance and perfect for relaxed listening any time of day. “Sunrise” is slated to be released on Armada Deep and Armada Trice in December; it’s the perfect winter pick-me-up for the winter months.

Rafael Ximenez-Carrillo and Mikio Gruschinske are no strangers to producing -yet-energetic house tracks; they have made “bliss house” their mantra and developed a carefully curated sound to match. Their multifaceted music has found a home on the Armada labels, where they have released a multitude of singles, including their electrifying recent hit “Ever.” Plastik Funk’s mission is simple—get people dancing and make them feel good! The duo manage to accomplish this during every live set; they have played at some of the best music festivals and clubs around the world as part of the Armada crew, and each performance has the crowd grooving to singles like ‘Love & Affection” and “Tight.” With a slew of new releases under way for 2017, the future of Plastik Funk has never looked so bright!

Spring has arrived and so has the second Bingo Players release of 2017. On the back of the success of 'Bust This', which gathered massive support from dj's and fans all over the globe, Bingo Players now return with something special. 

Originally a concept that Maarten and Paul worked on together all the way back in 2006, the new 'No. 1 Disco' is an updated/reworked version of the track that was never officially released and fans have been requesting for years. 

Now, more than 10 years later, the track feels more current than ever with its catchy vocals, energetic strings, deep custom kick and dynamic melody, making it feel like rays of sunshine bursting through the speakers.

Time marches on and so does Hysteria Records. The Dutch record label is playing with the home team May 19, bringing you a banging new track by Bingo Players and a newly formed Dutch producer duo Oomloud. Titled "Tic Toc" the track is an instant crowd pleaser, with a hypnotizing call and response vocal that has literally been moving crowds around the world.
