It started as a whisper but its been getting louder

Rattling my ego and challenging my reason

Everybody’s winging it coz no one learned the song
The tempo keeps on shifting, the key just sounds so wrong
So wrong it’s right, on stage tonight just try to sing along

And when you think it’s over, so begins the after party
Someone hits the strobes, some ethereal Svengali
And when you meet your maker they’ll say with one raised eyebrow
“I don’t care what you did, but did ya dig the show?”
