I was incredibly excited to be apart of this entire project from start to finish. When Paris asked me to work on the remix after we released the original version a couple months earlier I couldn't resist and began working on this version immediately with the help of DJ AndHerSin. Paris and I had so much fun working on this together and hope you all enjoy! Stay tuned for Paris Hilton's next single "High Off My Love" which I also produced.

Before the Shadows” is a haunting and emotional ballad that dives into the sorrow of watching the coral reefs—our vibrant underwater gardens—fade into silence. More than a song, it’s a requiem for a world we’ve taken for granted. The lyrics trace the reefs as the earth’s first cry for help, glowing with life one moment, then graying under the weight of warming seas. It laments our deafness to the warnings: the bleaching, the dying fish, the broken balance—signs that we ignored until it was too late.

Layered with oceanic soundscapes and aching vocals, the song mirrors the way the reefs once shimmered with color, now fading into ghostly white. The verses carry regret, not just for the lost ecosystems, but for the loss of who we were before—before indifference, before complacency, before the shadow of climate catastrophe stretched across our future.

At its heart, “Before the Shadows” is a longing to return—to the innocence, the hope, and the time when we still had a chance. It's a song of grief, of accountability, and of a wish whispered too late. But within its sorrow lies a fragile ember of remembrance: that we were warned, and we must never forget what was lost.
