With a fresh nordic breeze welcome Efraim Kent for the next sequel of Harmony Rec. podcast.

Raised in a family of musicians Efraim started playing instruments at an early age, but he soon found a passion for drum machines and synthesisers and started producing electronic music.

After reading an article about the legendary Japanese festival “The Labyrinth” Efraim discovered the sounds of Italian techno duo Voices from the Lake and was deeply inspired by their ritualistic approach to music. Something that also resonated with childhood friend Dorisburg. So the two set out on a musical journey that eventually lead to Moroccan label Tikita and the release of “Tecken”. Expect to hear more from Efraim very soon..

But first let this be a soundtrack to the slowly approaching autumn and all its beauty!

According to Mental Health Foundation, two Scots are lost to suicide every day, now as the streets are in lock down, businesses are closed and we’re worried for the health and financial security of ourselves and of everyone we love, BIA is a vital resource to help us stay calm in these challenging times. As someone who has struggled with my own mental health issues and at times been embarrassed to talk about them, their app has helped me immensely.

Brothers In Arms is a digital charity, NHS approved, with a free app powered by Thrive to help self diagnose and with self management tips to deal with any of the current stresses of life. They have live and fully trained Cognitive Behavioural Therapists or as the app refers to them, "mental fitness coaches", on call from 8am-8pm daily, completely anonymously via instant messaging.

Melbourne based DJ and producer BINOFSKI has always had a long-standing obsession with hard-house grooves and raw underground production aesthetics. His sound has an appreciation of all things Detroit, Chicago and UK house with a drenching of club-ready 4x4 grooves and 90’s Acid. His monthly UNCUT RHYTHM DJ sets are a brew of groovy jackin’ house and upfront underground tech through to bumpy garage and snippets of lofi. 

In the studio BINOFSKI utilizes his own unique approach that connects the dots with his sound as a DJ.  Groove-focused and addicted to hardware, you can expect a sound heavily derived from analogue synths and drum machines that’s deep, groovy and has a distinct 90’s house flavour. His less-is-more approach is a driving factor that helps him stay focused on what is really the most important element to his music: The Groove.
