“Softer hands” introduces a reality where art-electronics emerge from familiar club language. Sentimental melodies spray delicate feelings over metallic, hypnotising backgrounds. Distant, angelic choirs are softly moulded and shaped by whirring mechanical sounds, hisses and swooshes. Over time, the music leads inward, letting light through densely packed soundscapes. The result is touching, otherworldly, at times uncanny or post-apocalyptic, like an ensemble of machines learning to feel. "The Cardiac Rhythm" is a groundbreaking work of Biometric Electronic music, where the rhythm itself is born from the vital signs of life. The kick drum is a synthesized human heartbeat, the atmosphere is woven from the hiss of an oxygen mask, and the tension is built from the charge of a defibrillator. Each of the 10 tracks uses a synthesized EKG as its core, creating a cinematic soundscape that is both intensely human and clinically precise.

Embark on a 10-track journey that tells the story of a single shift. The album's narrative arc moves from the calm, steady beat of "First Watch" to the urgent, high-BPM drive of "Code Three" and the dramatic, arrhythmic climax of "Asystole," before finally finding reflection and resolution in "End of Watch." What is Glitch Hardcore Techno?
Glitch hardcore techno (often shortened to glitchcore or glitch techno in hardcore contexts) is a high-energy fusion of experimental electronic genres. It combines the relentless, pounding kicks and distorted basslines of hardcore techno (typically 160–200+ BPM, rooted in 1990s gabber and rave scenes) with the chaotic, fragmented sounds of glitch music. Glitch elements include digital artifacts like skips, stutters, bitcrushing, circuit-bent noise, and error-like interruptions—think CDs skipping or software bugs turned into deliberate rhythms. The result is aggressive, disorienting tracks that feel like a machine breaking down mid-rave: euphoric yet abrasive, with layers of metallic percussion, warped synths, and unpredictable breakdowns.
This subgenre emerged in the late 1990s–early 2000s, building on glitch pioneers like Autechre and Ryoji Ikeda, but infused with hardcore’s intensity. It’s popular in underground scenes like breakcore-techno hybrids, where artists layer Venetian Snares-style madness over 4/4 techno beats.
