Ship Sket is a Manchester-based deconstructed producer and artist, creating genre-defining deconstructed funk and experimental electronic music. Having released through record labels Illegal Data and Unguarded, Ship Sket's discography has left a major impact on club scenes in London and beyond, appearing on lineups alongside icons such as KAVARI, Felix Lee, Varg2tm, Two Shell, Hudson Mohawke and more. His DJing is as frenetic and unpredictable as his production, constantly firing on all cylinders and using decks more as live samplers rather than simply for playing tracks, resulting in a cascade of live mashups that end up at the intersection of hardcore club and the outer fringes of electronic music.

For this mix, Ship Sket presents a break and baile funk heavy explosion of sound, featuring everything from drill acapellas to unreleased music from his favorite artists. Recorded live at TraumaExcalibur, this set has to be heard to be believed; strap in for the ride.

“Emellay” is the second EP released by Upstate NY-based artist music lovers anonymous (MLA). The project can be seen as a sort of sequel to his first EP, “Wherever Chance Leads Me, I Will Go As A Friend,” released on formforum earlier this year. There are familiar sounds: humble field recordings, string-like textures, with an increased emphasis on controlled discord. Samples from important periods in his life are re-contextualized into something individualized: an interpretive dance between the weight of life and the bliss of insignificance. A pseudo-self titled project, “Emellay” functions as an unfinished self-portrait. Or maybe rather, a blind contour. These tracks were created without an end—with closed eyes—like a story being told as it is written...a story taking place in a bedroom, at a laptop, with a MIDI controller. It is an ode to an undeveloped identity, leaving melodic artifacts in its wake.

This is music for headphones.

Hiiro Issiki’ s "Tannins" is a 6-track mini-album that blends immersive ambient, cinematic dance music (CDM), and techno, crafted with minimal repetition to shape an environmental soundscape. Inspired by movie soundtracks and emotional atmospheres, it merges ecstatic expression with meditative stillness, questioning modern society through deep, unshaped sound waves and abrupt noises.

To transform the structured art of “music” into ambiguous particles of memory and space. It is neither “story” nor emotion. It is the sensation of fragments, the memory of reverberations, the minute tremors of the unconscious. In other words, I want to present as a work of art the very sensation of “a faint blur in the silence. Time is not a line but a layer, melody is not will but an accidental stain, and “ to listen” is not to enter into the sound but to be blurred by the sound. I want to scoop up the contemporary “submerged sensation of being flooded with sound.
