This is the first Shambhala mix I have ever done after all the years I have played this amazing Festival. Every time I have performed I've come away with countless memories & great moments. This year was exceptional, with DJ Premier, Jazzy Jeff, Skratch Bastid, The Gaff, Chali 2na & Cut Chemist, A.Skillz, Slynk, Fort Knox 5, Q Dup on a Saturday night. I have created the mix exactly how it was performed as  it was not recorded live. Big thanks to Rich E Rich for having me once again, I truly had the most incredible weekend. BASS Funkology MIX

We've been big fans of Leftside Wobble's 'Acid Soul' series, so we are delighted to have him put together a mix for us. Here are some words from him regarding his mix for us:

"Leftside Classics is a retrospective featuring some of the tracks that have meant the most to me over the last five years or so. These are the tracks that somehow always find a way back into my sets, tracks that rise above the transient and tracks that defy limiting genre pigeonholes. My sets have always been about joining the dots, celebrating the eclectic and supporting those tracks that exist in the rich hinterland between dub, funk, disco and house. Hopefully this retrospective captures that overriding ethos.

I've included a small selection of unreleased LW bits and a few exclusive versions of well known staples to keep things pushing forward too.

I have been producing and making mashups since the early 2000's, and I make a wide variety of music ranging from the sublime to the ridiculous.

Most of what’s currently on this page is circa 2005-2009, with a couple more recent nuggets from 2012ish. 

Super single mother, my son was born in 2010, hence the unscheduled haiatus of musical output. 

But inspiration isn’t afraid of hardship, matter’a fact, it FEEDS on that shit, which means I have a *massive* cache of unreleased raw new material that’s trickled in rather determinately, amidst all trial, tribulation and trauma.  

Grew up in Washington heights circa 83-93, and my brother who was a DJ was 10 years older than me, so at 5 I was steadily being exposed to the classics, hit at the time(88 and beyond)
