Written and recorded between the periods 2017-2019, Growing Pains is centered around the themes of my parent's divorce, which was finalized in 2008, and the events that occurred after, from hurt to loss and ultimately triumph. My life has never been the same since then. This record gives you insight into how my day-to-day was from the age of 12 till 21 and the impact a divorce has on children especially if there is no counselling involved for the family or the children. From the tears to the altercations with my stepfather and brother, visitation rights between my parents, parking lot meet-ups with my father, conversations with God every day/night when I look up into the sky, understanding that everything happens for a reason and that YOU ARE NEVER ALONE. Growing Pains resembles the personal day-to-day struggles we all face in this reality we call "life", seeking solace and coping mechanisms to get by each day, and knowing that everything will be okay. This is my story to you, no matter what background you come from, I hope this record speaks to you and let it be your escape.
