Radio On Vacation with Running Hot

Last Wednesday after another inspiring weekend of playing, dancing and creating dancefloors full of beautiful people in special places although tired, I recorded this mix in one go where my attention span and track selection was driven by recent / future dancefloor daydreams felt in that current moment. 

For me, it super dancy and full of spacey drivey bangers & spice so I feel its more appropriate to post on my own platform as feeling of my current mood - which is absolutely buzzed because of these recent experiences and my excitement about what is still to come. Hope you can feel it too <3

its's peak time at Dekmantel main stage and Palms Trax is letting the crowd have it and he's dropping a fairly addictive and unheard edit of "Sidi Mansour" by Cheba Yamina. Thus is to say as the weeks after went on this tune would become viral. The artist: Jamal Sulaimani AKA Moving Still, a producer and DJ coming fast up out of the woodwork recently because of his out there and dynamic culture crossing sets and musical knowledge that he incorporates into his own compositions. 
Jamal's roots to music are quite interesting too. His heart lies in two places, one in the sweltering heat of the beautiful city of Jeddah in Saudi Arabia, one in the prosperous rainy Irish capital of Ireland; Dublin (Which is where he resides today with his loving family). It has been this cross of culture where Jamal found his love for music and where he has solidified his unique sound. 
Moving Still's music is a mixture of tape collected Arabic music samples with punchy club cuts usually leaning into the disco, italo and house regions and wouldn't sound a miss in one of Sound Metaphors all night long sets. It is with these productions he finds the starting line of harnessing this energy while also finding equally fantastic gems to seamlessly blend into his well thought out sets. And this is what Jamal has done for us here. 1hr and 25mins of pure party energy while showing his trademark sound throughout without you evening noticing, sure... what would you know..., you're already dancing..., you're lost in it..., you're not coming back....HEY come back! ....Too late you're gone!

Lauer is back on Trush, his last appearance was back in 2013, so it's great to have another mix from the DJ and production machine and all around nice guy form Killianstädten. Mr Lauer gives us an 59:58 minute mix of balearic, house and electro sounds. Almost everything with Lauers distinct taste of the sound from the 80's with a modern twist! The drum programming, the synths and arpeggio, melodies and the sound. Italo influenced electro becoming house! Uplifting as always! A mix to enjoy from beginning till the end!

Tech Support always finds a groove in everything he touches. Be that through his DJ sets, mixes or his own productions, there's a rhythmic fluidity and depth that always guides his way.

He never confines himself to one sound or style but there's a distinct nod to the 80s in his influences and output; be assured you'll find lashings of Italo, vintage darkwave, euphoric house and slo mo chug when he's behind the decks or laying it down in the studio.

Lately he's been making music under another alias, Asa Tate, with a track penned for this year's Rhythm Section SHOUTS compilation. 

For his Shine A Light On mix, he dives into the sounds we've come to know him for: there's revving Italo, hypnotic Goa, groovy acid not acid and dusty progressive trance. Dig in...
