This is a very special song for me because I grew up with this song. My Grandpa (Buwa) used to carry me around and sing this song. So, this is first ever song that I remember from my childhood. For many years, (since there was no Internet let alone Youtube while I was growing up) I hummed this song from my memory having never heard the original. 
 This is for you, my dearest Buwa, I really really miss you and I hope I can come really soon to meet you.

Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan is one of my favourite artists of all-time, and I wanted to fuse his music with a modern sound while preserving its original essence. I couldn't find a suitable studio recording, so I stitched together 5 different live performances of Dum Mast Qalandar to create a master track that followed a consistent tempo and layered it over the beat of French Montana's Unforgettable. Although the sound quality of the live performances isn't the best, the raw energy in them justifies it well enough. Enjoy and share!
