Birds of Paradise-Quicksilver

So I wrote and pretty much finished a glitch hop Ep with Tha Fruitbat between Cali and Sydney back in 2012/13. I got over glitch hop though and we lost motivation to do anything with it, so its been collecting dust on a HD for a while now. Been thinking about releasing it again though, here's a sample of some of the tracks (the last one is with Itsu as well. Let us know if you think its cool or not ;)

- 04 - Kingdom of Tears :
As I said when I described the preview of Phacélia, I've been living these past few years with a deep sense of loneliness. It was a very difficult time for me and that's what I wanted to express in this track.

But I also wanted, in composing this track, to extract these feelings from myself, to transform them into something beautiful and constructive so as not to become trapped in this kingdom of tears that my daily life had become. I've always believed that music, and art in general, are the best way to delve into the depths of our being and are a cathartic way to work on ourselves, to learn to listen to ourselves (literally) and to evolve.

So this track is surely the one I consider the most intimate on the album, but also one of the most accomplished.


- The album :
Four and a half years... That's how long it took me to write "Evolve". Four years of experimentation, encounters, inspiring friendships and joys, but also personal trials, disappointments and sorrows. All these emotions and more have fed into my music over the years, culminating in this project, which I consider to be the most complete I've produced to date.

Sharing this story with you is close to my heart, and I hope that together we can bring 'Evolve' to life, giving it a dimension far greater than a simple album: a shared dream, tinged with passion and creativity. Of course, this won't happen without your support, and the rewards I'm offering will encourage you to dive even deeper into this adventure.

Hey everyone, here is my take on The Glitch Mob's track "How Could This Be Wrong". 

I've been listening to TGM for a while and I like the fact that it's one of the rare project that is popular yet not actually cheesy or another corporate copy in a famous genre, and rather produced like a band.

This remix is a bit more pop than my usual sound, but I enjoyed working on it nonetheless, hope you'll like it :)

"What started as a concept album led to a complete reformation of my workflow and style. I was trying to record some jams I'd been working on with my RAV drum using a click track and they kept feeling completely lifeless and sterile, so I ended up recording just the RAV drum on its own and then arranging everything in Ableton by hand. Because my natural rhythm wasn't quanitized it forced me to create each drum and synth part one piece at a time. So there was no copy and pasting which took lots of time and effort, but the result was a super organic-sounding electronic-tribal fusion that I couldn't be happier with." - Joey Gage

Expect this track to be released for digital download on Septempber 23rd for the Autumnal Equinox this year. This is a single from the upcoming album The Builders, set for release in the Spring of 2020.
