The sitar, synth (Dark Energy II) and electric tampura were recorded in one take, the esraj is an overdub. No second takes, no edits.

Bird People is a predominantly acoustic free drone project started by Ulrich Rois in 2010. As of 2015, Bird People operate as a fluid collective comprising between two and six players. 
Under his own name, Rois plays solo clawhammer banjo and various forms of minimal extended tone music.
