We’ve got a very special release this January; a brand-new rework of the 1982 classic ‘Do It To The Music’ by New York Dance group, Raw Silk being refreshed for 2024 by legendary UK DJ and producer, Michael Gray.

Perfectly in-keeping with the Fool’s Paradise brand and ethos we have built over the past 6 months, West End Records was a label close to our hearts having been one of the most influential dance labels of the past forty years and went on to define the sound of New York City during the heyday of Disco and the ever-popular, Studio 54. With the original reaching #5 in the US Billboard Dance Chart and #18 in the UK Singles Chart, such a classic West End Records record could only be revisited by one of the very best, and who better than Michael Gray to refresh this dancefloor gem! Michael’s rework pays true homage to the original adding his signature flair and groovy, funk-leaden sound.

Producing out of his hometown of Aalborg, Kornum has been a force within the Danish electronic community for 20 years, DJing with the likes of Purple Disco Machine, Boris Dlugosch, and Felix The Housecat. With a resume like that, you know you’re in for something special. This guy’s credentials speak for themselves.

Now, let’s talk about “Showdown.” This ain’t just another cookie-cutter track. Oh no, my friends. This is a throbbing mid-tempo House chugger, a relentless juggernaut of beats and bassline that’ll have you dancing ’til dawn and then some. Purebred, love-grown, king sized House music. Truly a concoction of a proper mixologist.

"Testify" showcases a funky, driven Clav riff that holds down the main focus while the bouncing bass and vocal sample add the icing on the cake. "Fantasy" also delivers an upbeat, bumping jack vibe with solid, dancefloor-aimed elements and an underground club-friendly appeal. We hope you enjoy the package.

Fire Flowerz return to Heavy Disco Records with fellow Italian TurboFunker Birdee. The Nocturne EP sees the pair oblitterating dance floors with these disco re-edits, flipped, skewed, chopped and re-invented for 2012.

The A-side 'In The Night' is an adrenaline filled twisted funk flip that's too damn catchy to ignore. Already a staple of sets by Reset! Phonat and The Young Punx it's one of those simple tracks that always feels like a highlight of the night when it drops.
'When The Evening Comes' is a soulful, more laid back nu-disco number, but a disco weapon none-the-less.

Italian duo Fire Flowerz, with their second release on the MofoHifi / Heavy Disco brand, have drummed up DJ support from Herve, Reset, Louis La Roche, Russ Chimes, Plump DJs and more.

Birdee, who won best breakthrough dj in 2008 and has toured the world from Australia to the USA to China takes a break from regular releases on Southern Fried and Cheap Thrills to make a welcome appearance on Heavy Disco. He's been well received by the likes of Laidback Luke, Malente, Oliver Twizt, Beataucue, Tom Staar and RESET!
