Born in Baltimore, MD, and now calling Amsterdam home, Matt's music draws inspiration from the reflective qualities of Gregory Alan Isakov, the atmospheric soundscapes of Radiohead, and the raw emotion of Bon Iver.   A mechanical engineer by day, his true passion lies in crafting intricate indie-americana melodies that capture heartfelt moments.

Under the moniker Bird On Wire, Matt weaves a tapestry of sound, meticulously building the layers in his songs, often working during the quiet hours of the morning.  His voice and harmonies reflect the emotions and experiences that have shaped his journey.

With murmuration, his debut EP, Matt invites listeners into his world, where each track merges thoughtful precision with raw feeling, allowing Bird On Wire to find its flight.
