This privately released LP was sitting behind the generic Pop/Rock tag before it unleashes its full potential - fronted female vocal, breezy DX7, Sade'ish basslines, fake reggae patterns... up to some more cosmic moments.

On the 26th installment of OK Mix we dive deep into the world of ghettotech with Helsinki local Jussi Niskanen. Jussi, originally hailing from "Steel City" Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, ended up in “Hesalanmäki” some decades ago. His years of collecting records and playing music encompass several styles, ranging from his first mixtape which included songs from Ceebrolistics, Piirpauke and the label Ninja Tune (super rare cassette tape, approximately 10 copies ever made) to the fast stuff he is all about today. Amongst being a skilled DJ, he has worked also as a painter for many years now. In the mix Jussi plays with an average tempo of about 160 bpm, blends between some sped up classic tracks and more underground ghettotech bangers from the world and even some Finnsh greatnesss. You can hear a lot of love has been pumped into this mix. Play it loud!

This time Birdcast from Paris-based DJ and multi-tasker, Mykonos aka Anna. Mykonos is part of the collective Bruits de la Passion, known for its *free* and ecstatic festivals. I first came across with Mykonos with her beautiful mix for Lyl Radio's BISOU. She has also done mixes for Rinse FM and Night Travel on a Blanket.

In this mix Anna combines late 80's and early 90's spirit - a groovy trip through jungle noises on dubs and breaks and laid back downtempo.
