About this EP:
Almanecer is a portal, a mystical metaphor for the concept of "Birth of the Soul", an awakening to consciousness through sound harmonies and frequencies on a very special journey. A treasure that will give endless beauty and peace to whoever takes the time to discover it.
In a new collaboration between the creative energies of the great artist Mina Shanka, bringing a unique magic with her almost heavenly voice, plus the talented and eclectic producer Hajna, prolific creator of big releases for Cosmovision Records and more. Both artists from France with a passion for the sounds of global folklore and electronic music, today they come together again to sculpt a meaningful musical piece full of soul and love for music.
The EP consists of 3 original songs which is enriched with 4 remixes full of musical synchrony that explore the most electronic sounds as well as the ideas most linked to Latin American folklore by figures such as DVNIEL, Manu Ela, Intiche and Atemporal.
We leave with you this unique trip that we hope will bring you a lot of peace and good vibes, just as it did with us, thank you very much for sharing!

Lagartijeando has produced a very special EP with a choir from an indigenous tribe called Coro Qom Chelaalapi. The choir formed as a means of passing down their culture to future generations in the absence of any formal records. They have been declared a living cultural heritage by UNESCO. Blending traditional songs with brooding beats and big grooves, The Revisión EP is a unique and special collaboration exploring the tribe’s rich musical heritage with contemporary production.

The original songs have a mythology and their bespoke instruments have deep significances. The nivike is a single string violin (representing the sounds made by a jaguar sharpening its claws on a tree trunk) and was used as a form of communication to contact loved ones or to find love amongst the mountain dwellers.

On 'Lapacho' Lagartijeando lays down a big groove to accompany the choirs’ infectious vocals. It is about a tree that when in bloom signifies the start of marriage season.

This track came alive through a moment of exploring west-african desert blues guitar combined with producing an abstract, pulsing world beat while pondering life in the garden of my home in Berlin. Months later, while traveling through the sacred valley of Peru on a journey with cactus medicine, my brother Dawid passed me samples of a recording of the Mwami tribe (meaning King Shepherd) and royal drums from Rwanda whose cultural music and identity has disappeared since the republic was formed in 1961. These samples I have mixed with my production and guitar playing to give it an otherworldly feel. I believe in the idea of carrying cultural heritage through the medium of sound and production thus giving new life to ancient tradition and merging the old with a new artistic vision.

Matakan Mwami

Ethnically inspired turkish Istanbul based producer Sarmoung offers us another sample of his skills. 
With Aman he reinterprets an old traditional Turkish/Greek song where a doctor is implored to heal the heart of a young man.
With his subtle rhythms, the sensitive disharmonies and his synth sounds Sarmoung creates the pain and the despair of the young protagonist impressively.
Hopefully with this interpretation he will be cured.
