One of the most magical TV songs I was blessed to sing. Listening to this, it does not sound like a commercial for sweets at all, not to me, so much more intense. Personally I had to discover there is sometimes, even in my own head, an often unnecessary border between so-called "service music" and "authentic, free music". Imagine: The composer and producer of this song was on world tournee for years being part of the Sisters of Mercy. And me, the studio singer here, came out of an indie/alternative segment after having a major deal with my own band at the great Rammstein label "motor music". 
I was able to realize, whatever you do with passion, that counts.

Was the dog in the air? Or was it the owner? Hm, this TV spot made us laugh a while ago ... wish I could find it on youtube e.g. ... Searching for love ... yet being carried away by the leash, great ;) Was fun singing this, too, getting into this innocent role! Love studio work as a singer. Thank you, Witty Music.

Rainbows in the sun ... Wrote these lyrics for this beautiful lounge track about my love relationship. And was asked to sing to this, too. Love this song. About some darkness in a happy entertaining manner ;)
Why are we blessed with love and sometimes cannot see and receive it even though it is the best that there is in this life? Why are humans like that, not only me ...? Painting rainbows in the sun. Got a lot to say about that, come back to it later on.
So here for the first time I proudly present this unpublished beauty ...(with kind permission by Witty Music and my fullest gratitude!)

Rainbows

For this beautiful  and exciting lounge track I was asked to just improvise a few so-called ad libs. The word "ad lib" derives from the Latin expression "ad libitum" meaning "at one's pleasure" or "as you desire". To me as an artist the most wonderful challenge. Challenge, because it means, I immediately jump into the unknown, have no guidance from outside, but from the inside. Mistakes might happen and the leading comes from a source I know yet cannot describe. Call it creativity for now. The producer records and when the music starts noone knows what  will happen next ;)I love it as I am used to jump and have learned to rely on a fountain of melody ideas, the producers have to stop me. 
Do you like to join in and sing some melody to it with me? In this track there is so much more space, for you, if you like to sing with me. Perhaps I will do some live sessions online the next year and we sing together via web with the focus on healing voice. Interested?

My God, I get touched and a little sad when I  hear this song. Reminds me of the transformation after death. From the first moment in Witty musics' studio when I was hired to sing it I thought of the eternal peace, of being swept away with the wind after being burned and carried over the sea. To me this is so much more than just a TV commercial singer job.

But when I was young I was a grunge punk and I never wanted to get in touch with commercial music at all. And then later ... was honoured to become Germanys most played commercial singer for so many years. Yet I nearly turned down the first offers I was given for TV commercials – as I am a vegetarian and would not sing for companies who use vivisection. The producer had a deep discussion with me and, I had my principles. So I chose to say yes to those jobs and kept investing a large part of the income to animal welfare and Non-profit-organisations plus, I would buy good, not-harming products. Luckily later vivisection got forbidden for cosmetics in Germany anyway.

New York 1994. My friend Traunima and me entered a dusty second-hand book shop in a Manhattan back street. Wow ... what a variety of childrens' books with beautiful illustrations! Magically drawn into those old books the hours flew away. Yet this fairy tale gem especially fascinated me: The Toy Shop Story. Suddenly the lines in this over 100 years old book started to play in my head and became a song. This is what it sounds like ...

In this year we wrote together with Swiss composer Niki Reiser this beautiful piece of music, which in the last minute was taken off the soundtrack album. „Meschugge“ – a brilliant cinema movie by Dani Levi and Maria Schrader. Yes: „Dust War“ was published on the soundtrack and won us a part of the „Bayerischer Filmpreis 1999“ with Niki Reiser.
