Girlfriend

How incredibly strange and wonderful it is to meet a stranger you could swear you've missed terribly for as long as you can remember without even knowing it, with whom every conversation bears the excitement and urgency of catching up on a lifetime of can you believe this, if only you could've been there, what a miracle to see you again for the first time. One day we'll get old and a stranger will take a candid photo of us holding hands sitting on a park bench and post it on Buzzfeed and two people just like us will feel their hearts break for one another in the best, most thrilling way.

A former superhero from a distant planet finds himself quickly disgraced by the 24-hour news cycle, even after...what, fighting a monster? I don't know, it isn't all that clear, but somehow the world is saved. It isn't rocket science, folks. This one is actually super old. Like, super. The song, not the recording. 2001? 2002? Ask those guys I was a dick to in that one band after high school, maybe they'll remember.

Super/Hero
