Away Away

Displaying her prowess and expanding skills as a composer producer she unfolds rich dark sounds with themes that explore gender, identity and other worldly places. The title ‘Alternator’, a mechanical generator that produces an alternating current, fits as a description for her pursuit as an independent musician who seeks to challenge popular music. Bookended by two instrumental tracks which are suggestive of other worldly landscapes Biscotti intertwines a broad influence of styles and sounds, from experimental electronica to hip-hop to industrial. Her cover of the Beasties Boys track 'Girls' retitled 'Boys! (Grls)' makes some cleaver switching of lyrics to adjust the gender role descriptions in the song.

Biscotti - Fantastico

Biscotti and DNA made this on a threee day rampage in Jogja 2011. Biscotti on the beats and sampling music from the maliboro streets where some buskers played traditional music of Dena's home town. This I believe is the first recording of him singing in his mothers tongue. After many years of being teased when he spoke Ngapak language, forgive me if I spell that wrong, I insisted that he rap in it. I hope we can collaborate again one day.
