Over the last couple of years, we’ve had an amazing number of requests from both established and new up-and-coming producers to remix, redo and re-interpret original Freaks tracks. 

In these moments, I’m always humbled to think that the music we made over the years still inspires the house music scene of today. 

Of course, we also absolutely love people playing around with our music; it consistently produces inspirational and surprising results every time…. 

So, I’m very proud to kick off the 1st in our “Re-Freaked” series, which will see Freaks tracks transformed through various mutations, emotions, circumstances, and situations, then re-visited, re-freaked, and born again by producers we admire today. 

This first release features 2 of my personal favorite Freaks tracks and both include the ever-stunning vocal skills of our beloved fellow Freak, Diz Washington. 

First up is ‘Situations’ taken from the Freaks album, Psych and which features a genius flute performance from the wonderful Antipodean jazz multi-instrumentalist, Nathan Haines. It has also had a brilliant reworking from Dave Aju too. 

Going back further into the vaults, You Ain’t House’ just had to be re-done! Originally released on Wash House, with a Swag (aka Chris Duckenfield & Richard Brown) “We Is House” remix, this still stands the test of time for me.

Hot Creations call upon VIVa boss Steve Lawler for their next release, rounding 2014 off with a bang - an amazing year for the leading label. With such a widespread knowledge of music and the industry, here Lawler gives us a musical education. ‘House Record’ is a dose of old school 80s house injected with a modern twist with ‘City Nights’ following suit on the B-side. There is no doubt both tracks will dominate the dance floor at peak time, capturing each heart with their infectious bouncing bass-lines, pacey percussions and all round feel good energy. This is proving to be a huge release for Hot Creations and Steve, featuring heavily in Jamie, Richy, Lee and Steve’s set’s… this is seriously HOT!

Steve’s music can be found on highly respected labels such as R&S Record, Drumcode, Cocoon, OVUM, Rekids, Soma, and of course his own imprint VIVa MUSiC. He also has a huge release dropping on Seth Troxler’s Play It Say It at the end of this year. Remixes of high proﬁle artists such as Jamelia, Dido and Justin Timberlake can also be found. Head of the respected VIVa MUSiC, Lawler founded the label in 2006 and has featured artists such as Reboot, Jamie Jones, Davide Squillace, Luca Bacchetti, Bushwacka, Plasmik, Ripperton, Peace Division, Tiefschwarz and many more.

Alessandro Lopez (aka BISE), born in 1986. His journey as a DJ in the world of nightlife begins in 2002. From there begins the early evenings around the clubs of Turin using Alessandro Lopez as the name of art. In 2003, thanks to a regional competition dj takes possession of the console of the local X-Dox by resident, in the Turin club renowned for After countless sounds and tech house and techno DJs who participated in the international caliber. In 2011 he joined the agency "Celebration Agency" (Bologna), having the privilege of being together with the top artists on the national Italian . In 2012 the project was born BISE, stage name that sees him return to the music scene and in the production of trend, characterized by sound exclusively Deep, Tech House and Techno. His sounds range from House to Deep House, Tech House and Techno.
His career as producer, started in 2007, sees collaborate with DJ Filippo Marchesini, MA.LO in the project, created in 2009, characterized by sounds mostly house and dance.
