my focus freezes, vacant and lost internally for eternity. it feels forever. the moment of fear, of dismissive resistance. when i try to speak its quiet without conviction. ive been led astray. no notice and ive changed. im not here anymore. i don’t belong screams my mind. this is the danger you’ve worked so hard to run from, to hide from. i sit in salty water with a weightlessness that numbs my body. confrontation. truth. i seek internal truth because there i can disguise the ugliness with veils of warm hope. hope that i can stand above the water. its here now the visceral experience of life. it might be hard but its so real. ive denied myself the textures of feelings for too many relationships. see the beauty of the rugged ridges of the rock for its history is a millennia of pressure. this world is full of hardship and i am not alone in its formation. i am too the dying microscopic organisms that sinking down to the bottom of the sea collects in a mound of skeletons turning the water a milky blue. piling up turning to a soft ooze as the pressure builds and we compact and harden transforming our bones to white rock. the uniformity of the rock, forming the land in which new life thrives, is a testament to the slow drift of life where the consistency is the cycle of it all.
