With no access to the Keakie studios and less time on my hands, it was likely that I would put the radio game on pause. But I couldn't help myself. Covid ain't gonna stop me pushing out great music!
Solace Radio is a show for the quarantine days (and beyond) and will try and drop shows as regularly as humanly possible.

O projeto Bison & Squareffekt foi criado em 2013 através da internet depois de uma emissão do Boiler Room de Buraka Som Sistema, onde pela primeira vez se ouviu falar de uma nova sonoridade chamada Zouk Bass, despertando assim o interesse por parte de Squareffekt relativamente a um novo estilo emergente dos subúrbios. O interesse em explorar este estilo foi imediato pelo facto de soar a algo único, a procura e pesquisa por este estilo na internet levou o ao encontro do Bison com um tema chamado Demónio do Tarraxo entrando em contacto com o próprio, trocaram ideas e tiveram uma afinidade logo de imediato, afinidade essa que os mantém ligados desde o início e mantém uma paixão pelo projeto e pela musica que vão lançando com regularidade.  Ja foram criados variadíssimos Eps e temas dentro de vários estilos tais como o Zouk Bass, Tarraxo, Hip Hop, Trap, Cumbia, Baile Funk, Afro House, etc…por parte do Bison já houve colaborações com Buraka ou com o Branko e em conjunto com nomes, tais como Populous, Siete Catorce, Kush Arora, Noche entre outros. A aceitação por parte do público e dos media deu lhes uma projeção a nível nacional e internacional nas mais variadas rádios como a rádio britânica BBC Radio one ou as nacionais Oxigenio,Antena 3,Radar, como também blogs e jornais que no ano seguinte foram catalogados entre os 10 melhores Eps de 2014, mais recentemente foi lançado um novo Ep chamado Keep Movin com influências desde Africa até Cuba passando pelos U.S utilizando bpms mais acelerados para a pista de dança com o intuito de os temas se integrarem numa viagem pela World Music. Os Eps anteriores foram apresentados em vários espaços noturnos tais como o Lux ou o Musicbox, passando por festivais como o Vodafone Mexefest ou o Lisboa Dance Festival. Com os temas lançados na blogosfera, o interesse da Enchufada discográfica de Buraka Som Sistema que deu o seu feedback e surgiu a oportunidade de lançar 2 temas no qual lhes abriu portas para duas presenças na plataforma Boiler Room um dj set de Tarraxo e Zouk Bass sendo algo inédito nesta plataforma. Este ano ja foi lançado um tema intitulado Ancestral Culture que já vai dando sinais de novas diretrizes.
